Which armor to keep, decided with actual math

Armor 3.0 made "is this piece good?" a genuinely hard question — archetypes, artifice slots, tuning mods and set bonuses all change the answer. Shard or Keep computes it instead of guessing.

Read from sockets, not from the stat sheet

The appraiser reads each piece's archetype, artifice slot and stat tuning from its actual sockets — the same way the game applies them — and compares pieces at assumed masterwork, so an unmasterworked drop is never unfairly condemned.

Redundant means dominated, not "lower total"

A piece is only marked redundant when another piece you own reaches an equal or better spread in every stat mix the piece could be tuned to. Artifice and tuning options are expanded before the comparison — a lower-total artifice piece often survives because it can reach mixes nothing else can.

Set bonuses and class items included

Set-bonus armor is recognized (including event sets that pick their bonus through a socketed selector mod), and exotic class items are judged with their perk combination in mind — not just their stats.
