Knowing a roll is bad is easy. Knowing which 80 items you can safely shard before the next raid night is the hard part — that is what the Shard List answers.
The list starts with the items the evidence condemns hardest: rolls curators explicitly flag as trash, armor dominated by pieces you already own, spare copies of duplicates that lost their ranking. You clear the top of the list first and stop whenever you have enough space.
Anything used by one of your saved loadouts — or by an in-game loadout on any character — is shard-protected and excluded automatically. Locked items and your high-kill favorites stay off the list too. The list only ever contains gear nothing else depends on.
Bulk actions move batches of confirmed junk from the vault onto your character, respecting Bungie's transfer rate limits, so the in-game dismantling becomes one uninterrupted session instead of an evening of vault Tetris.
