Refurbished A499 god roll & best perks

Refurbished A499 is, right now, a competitive B-Tier heavy weapon which fills a similar PvP heavy weapon niche as LFRs. The @hugowo_ spreadsheet at https://www.destiny2.science/, shows the damage at base as 253.46 to the body or 698.26 for a crit, so this can one shot body kill. There's no real comparators, but looking at Aggressive Frames, this has higher impact, but every other stat is worse. With a single shot mag neither Stability or Recoil Direction will be a problem, but Handling, Reload Speed and Aim Assist are all low at base. For the barrel perk, look for a boost to Handling to improve snappiness, and for the magazine perk, Flared Magwell or Light Mag to help the Reload Speed. You can kill with one hit, so all you need are gunfeel or utility trait perks - Lone Wolf for flanking, Snapshot Sights for snappy ADS speed, No Distractions to help with flinch or Moving Target to improve Aim Assist and ADS speed in the first column, and in the second Mulligan which has a 20% (25% enhanced) chance of generating free ammo if you have the Anti-Barrier Sniper Rifle on the Seasonal Artifact or, when that stops working, Auto-Loading Holster so you can just ready and fire. The Air-Cooled Core origin trait looks very useful - you'll have boosted Reload Speed after sprinting which procs the better Handling and ADS movement speed after reloading your single shot in the mag. Uncivil Discourse is the first of a new subfamily of heavy ammo Disruption Weapon sniper rifles which are rated A-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic, providing a high-damage single shot that disintegrates enemies on kills, as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The there's nothing to really compare this against, but you can see https://d2foundry.gg/w/593808239 for how the weapon stats impact in-game performance. With this being a sniper, and single shot, the only weapon stats that have an impact are Handling and Reload Speed, so look for barrel and mag perks that help. The trait perk pool for PvE is, frankly, a bit weird, but this is still worth considering for boss damage. In the first trait perk column there's nothing much that helps with boss damage phases - the most useful are probably Snapshot Sights for faster ADS speed, or No Distractions for ×0.65 reduction in flinch for ADSing for 1s (0.9s when enhanced). Then, in the second column, Aggregate Charge provides a stack for each different elemental debuff up to ×3 stacks to boost damage by up to ×1.3 (×1.33 when enhanced), with each stack lasting as long as the debuff is active. Alternatively, Auto-Loading Holster could work as part of a special weapon Bait and Switch rotation, or Box Breathing provides a ×1.3 damage boost after ADSing for 1.5s (1.4s enhanced). For the Origin Trait Air-Cooled Core improves handling and ADS speed when heat is <10%, and boosts Vent Speed for 6s after sprinting. If you're very lucky you'll drop a weapon with the much better option of Accelerated Assault which passively reduces heat by 10% and boosts damage by ×1.05 for getting 3 hits within 1.6s. You really want Accelerated Assault here - as is the case with any DPS focused weapon this season. Perk 1 slot is basically just a big whiff, so it's kinda whatever you personally want. I like Bewildering Burst because I like the availability of the extra crowd control if I want it, but in general a perk focused on landing your crits as fast as possible is probably the best option for most people. Overall you want to juice your reload stat as much as possible." Recommended MW: Reload, Handling, Stability.
