Anti-Champion perks, explained

Champions stop a fireteam that cannot break them. Since Anti-Champion 2.0, the breaker capability lives on the weapon itself — specifically on its frame — rather than only on seasonal artifact mods.

Three breaker perks, on the frame

Exactly three sandbox perks grant breaker behavior — one each for Barrier (shield-piercing), Overload (disruption) and Unstoppable (stagger) — and they attach to a weapon's intrinsic frame. If a weapon's frame carries one, every copy of that weapon breaks that champion type, regardless of its roll.

Exotics play by their own rule

Some exotics have an intrinsic breaker type declared directly on the item, which overrides everything else. Wish-Ender pierces barriers because the weapon says so, not because of its frame. When both sources exist, the item's own declaration wins.

The three champion types

Barrier Champions raise an impenetrable shield and heal behind it — shield-piercing rounds shoot through it. Overload Champions regenerate aggressively and teleport — disruption locks them down. Unstoppable Champions simply do not flinch — stagger opens them up. Matching at least two breaker types across your fireteam's weapons is the practical minimum for Grandmaster content.

Check your own vault

Shard or Keep tags every synced weapon with its breaker capability, read from the same frame data the game uses. Before a Grandmaster, filter your vault by champion type instead of trusting memory — the answer is per-frame, and the vault does not lie.
