Inspired by @PodvsEnemies episode 150 from 19 August 2025 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/09YmSx1l928T7hFnj7Kvxi?si=eb827f2ac1974a14) with @CourtProjects, @ImpetusAlways and @Saint_Kabr (PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for clearing minor add groups both general at-level or better, and end-game underleveled content, particularly for Lucky Pants Hunters. Agape, as a heavy burst frame, provides the best damage output against minors and offers as its intrinsic perk a little additional flinch resistance when ADSed. At base, by comparison with its peers, the stats are middling, with a boost at Tier 4/5 when barrel and magazine perks are enhanced - d2foundry.gg calculates that Range of 64 translates to 21.76m hipfire and 34.82m ADS before damage drop-off, 28 Stability is ×1.0150 flinch resistance, 29 Handling is 0.39s ready, 0.28s ADS and 0.43s stow speed, 21 Reload Speed is a 3.13s reload and Magazine Size is 14 (max 28). For barrel and magazine perk choices, Agape desperately needs Handling and Reload Speed as a priority. For Lucky Pants Hunters, in the first trait perk column Rewind Rounds lets you keep on shooting while building Illegally Modded Holster stacks for up to ×4.5 damage at 10 stacks, refilling 60% (70% when enhanced) of hits back into the magazine when empty. In the second column, for another damage multiplier, Vorpal Weapon plus 10 stacks of IMH boosts damage by ×5.4 against orange and yellow bars or Precision Instrument for up to ×6.15 crit damage at 6 stacks if you can keep hitting crits. The Exhaustive Research Origin Trait is very good for PvE - ADS for 1s at an enemy up to 60m away, and the next shot will fire a mini-rocket - these are affected by and can proc rocket-based perks and traits too - with a 5s cooldown. If you're interested, Agape (pronounced Ah-gar-pay) is a Greek word for the highest form of love, characterised by selflessness and unconditional care for others. Recommended MW: Reload Speed, with your preferred choice of mod/enhanced mod to boost weapon stats, ammo regeneration, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.|tags:PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller

In the first trait perk column Rewind Rounds partially mitigates the problems with reload speed refilling 60% (70% when enhanced) of hits back into the magazine when empty. In the second column, for solar builds, Burning Ambition is here for end-game content for use against beefier single targets, although you will probably need a scorch source from an ability to start things off, or Incandescent is great for clearing add groups, spreading +30 scorch stacks or +40 with Ember of Ashes (+35/+45 with Ember of Ashes, when enhanced) in a 4m radius on a kill. The Exhaustive Research Origin Trait is very good for PvE - ADS for 1s at an enemy up to 60m away, and the next shot will fire a mini-rocket - these are affected by and can proc rocket-based perks and traits too - with a 5s cooldown. For barrel and magazine perk choices, Agape desperately needs Handling and Reload Speed as a priority. If you want to use Heal Clip in the first trait perk column, for the ×2 Cure (140 HP) and ×1 Cure on allies within 15m when you finish a reload within 5.3s after a kill, you really do need to sort the reload out or the window is really short, and if you're in trouble you'll likely be dead before the animation's complete. Pairing Firefly in the second column is great in this respect - as well as the solar explosion in a 4m radius on a crit kill, you also get +50 Reload Speed (+55 when enhanced). The Exhaustive Research Origin Trait is very good for PvE - ADS for 1s at an enemy up to 60m away, and the next shot will fire a mini-rocket - these are affected by and can proc rocket-based perks and traits too - with a 5s cooldown. For melee builds, particularly running a solar subclass, the combination of Pugilist in the first trait perk column generates melee energy on kills, while Incandescent is great for clearing add groups, spreading +30 scorch stacks or +40 with Ember of Ashes (+35/+45 with Ember of Ashes, when enhanced) in a 4m radius on a kill, with scorch/ignition kills counting as weapon kills for Pugilist. The Exhaustive Research Origin Trait is very good for PvE - ADS for 1s at an enemy up to 60m away, and the next shot will fire a mini-rocket - these are affected by and can proc rocket-based perks and traits too - with a 5s cooldown. What these Agape perks do

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

Heal Clip

Finishing a reload within 5.3? seconds of a Kill grants Cure x2 to you and Cure x1 to allies within 15 meters.

Firefly

On Precision Kills: • Target explodes, dealing 104 [80] Solar damage in a 4 meter radius • Grants 50 Reload Speed for 6 seconds

Pugilist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Melee Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Dealing Melee Damage grants 35 Handling for 3 seconds. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Incandescent

Weapon Kills trigger a Solar explosion that applies 30 Scorch Stacks (40 with Ember of Ashes) and deals up to 30 damage to enemies within 4 meters of the target. Killing Elite or higher tier Combatants and Players increases the radius to 8 meters and applies 10 more Scorch Stacks. Scorch damage can be increased through Weapon Damage Buffs.

Vorpal Weapon

Deals increased damage against Minibosses, Bosses, and Vehicles, as well as Players in their Super Ability. Damage increase by Ammo Type: • Primary Weapons: 20% [60%] • Special Weapons: 15% [20%] • Power Weapons: 10% [20%]

Rewind Rounds

Upon emptying the Magazine: Refills 60% of the number of Hits landed (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Hits are counted from either your last reload or the last time the perk was triggered. Does not require Direct Hits. Requires firing 28.75% of the Magazine Capacity for the refill to activate. Cannot load the Magazine beyond its base capacity. Hits after triggering a refill do not count while the Rewind Rounds buff is active (1? second). Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifle behavior: • Each individual bolt in the burst counts as a Hit • Refill amount is uniquely 14% of the number of Hits rounded up (numbers are subject to change once we get more data points)

Precision Instrument

Direct Weapon Hits grant a stack of Precision Instrument for 1.25 seconds (2.1 seconds on weapons with a Draw/Charge Time). Maximum of 6 stacks. Reloading the weapon (except on Bows) or missing removes all stacks... usually. Heavy Burst Frame weapons can only gain 1 stack per burst. Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifles require 1.5? Hits for each stack (and missing sometimes does not remove your stacks on them). Precision damage increase at 1|2|... stacks: 4.17% | 8.33% | 12.5% | 16.67% | 20.83% | 25%

Burning Ambition

Direct Hits against Scorched Enemies apply additional Scorch on a 0.5 second cooldown: • Primary Weapons apply 10 [4] additional Scorch per Direct Hit (15 [9?] with Ember of Ashes) • Special and Power Weapons apply 20 additional Scorch (30 with Ember of Ashes) Scoring multiple Direct Hits within 3? seconds of each causes the next Direct Hit to Scorch the target. Hit counter persists through stow. Number of Direct Hits required by weapon type: • Bows: 2 • Swords: 3 • Other Weapons: 55% of the base magazine size Scorch applied by Burning Ambition to Unscorched targets counts as Weapon Damage. Ember of Ashes increases the amount of Scorch applied by 50%.
