Aureus Neutralizer is the second spread shot hand cannon - sitting in the kinetic slot. At base, by comparison with its peers, the stats are good, which is improved further at Tier 4/5 when barrel and mag perks are enhanced - but unfortunately d2foundry.gg hasn't yet work out the formula to translate weapon stats into in-game performance. Look for a little extra handling or a little extra range as a barrel perk. together with a magazine perk that boosts reload. For burst damage, with one eye towards Trench Barrel as the damage perk in the second trait perk column, Threat Remover provides decent bumps to Stability, Handling and Reload Speed for 7s after landing 11 of your 12 pellets (10 when enhanced), or Threat Detector adds +40 Stability, +60 Reload Speed with a ×0.81 animation scalar and +100 Handling when you're within 15m to 2+ enemies. Alternatively, Proximity Power can stack three times to provide +15 (+18 when enhanced) to your Melee stat per stack - a total a +45 (+54) for 10s, refreshable on further kills. After dealing melee damage, Trench Barrel provides +30 Handling and Reload Speed together with ×1.5 damage for 5s or three shots. If you're interested an Aureus was the main gold coin of ancient Rome from the 1st century BC to the early 4th century AD. The Fleet Footed Origin Trait's additional Airborne Effectiveness and Movement Speed are more of a PvP perk. Roar of Battle's +10 Handling and Stability is better, but unspectacular or if you're encountering vehicles, constructs or Stasis crystals, Häkke Breach Armaments is good for extra free damage. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod/enhanced mod to boost mag size, weapon stats, ammo regeneration, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.|tags:PvE PvE-Boss PvE-MajorSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller

With one eye on One-Two Punch in the second trait perk column, Full Choke reduces the spread of the pellets a little but extra handling or a little extra range works too as a barrel perk. You'll be bypassing reload, so use the magazine perk to get as many shots as you can. For a melee build, Grave Robber in the first trait perk column will refill your magazine on an elemental melee hit or any melee kill. For damage, One-Two Punch might only provide +75% melee damage for 3s for hitting all 12 pellets (10 when enhanced) on a hand cannon, but you don't have to worry about ammo as this is a primary, which seems fair.
