pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): Recommended MW: Velocity. High-Impact Frame(15) Void Rocket Launcher Heavy Ammo. "There is nothing more I want this season than BrayTech Osprey with Cluster Bomb and Chain Reaction. Seeing all those explosions, especially at once, will bring a smile across my face. I’d also like to see how it interacts with Lasting Impression. Do the clusters drop on the initial hit or, more likely, once the explosion goes off? There will be some obvious testing to do this season, but I want this rocket launcher for the sheer fun of it. Cluster Bomb might be useful again when coupled with Frenzy or Golden Tricorn’s damage increase."

pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller): Recommended MW: Velocity. High-Impact Frame(15) Void Rocket Launcher Heavy Ammo. "In PvP my boom-splosion rocket will be the best to get, I do think that the Cluster Bomb getting the kill will result in Chain Reaction going off, it might affect the damage but that will have to be tested a bit more. There is nothing holding back my excitement for so many explosions."

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 68 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/7e93LMhFDUbZZX5SKYzXf0?si=cec8c26785114ffb) with @Saint_Kabr, @CourtProjects and @ImpetusAlways. First-choice PvE pick for add-clear in end-game activities. High-Impact Rocket Launchers are meant for add-clear - they have the highest blast radius stat of the subfamilies and do middling damage - 10% less than Adaptives or Aggressives. And saying that, BrayTech Osprey (Adept) has the worst stats in its subfamily. But there might be an interesting roll for burst damage worth looking at anyway. Increase the velocity stat with the barrel and masterwork - Quick Launch and Hard Launch are the best options, and Impact Casing adds 2.2% multiplicative damage. In the first trait column as the support perk, for burst damage against Majors or sustained damage against a Boss, Field Prep for the extra reserves, which means you only have to run two reserves mods for the maximum number of rockets, and have the reload speed boost when crouched. In the second trait slot as the signature perk, Bipod could be very interesting - two in the mag, even with the loss of damage being offset by less need to reload. Maybe one to keep, just in case. Recommended MW: Reload Speed or Velocity, with a damage-boosting (Adept Big Ones or Taken Spec) mod.|tags: PvE, Pve-Boss, PvE-MajorSpec, PvE-BossSpec, PvE-God, PvE-EndGame, Controller, M+KB

In the first trait column as the support perk, for burst damage against Majors or sustained damage against a Boss, six rapid kills with another another weapon with Envious Assassin can get you five rockets in the mag (just don't ask how that works...). In the second trait slot as the signature perk, Bipod could be very interesting - at base, two or more in the mag, even with the loss of damage being offset by less need to reload, could still make for higher DPS than standard launchers. Maybe one to keep, just in case Bipod gets a little buff. And saying that, BrayTech Osprey (Adept) has the worst stats in its subfamily. So, would you really use a rocket launcher for add clear? If the answer is yes (not sure it should be, but you go girl/boy/bot/peep), then use the barrel and mag to get to 100 blast radius without hurting velocity, and add Cluster Bombs and Chain Reaction for as much destruction as possible over as wide an area as possible. What these BrayTech Osprey (Adept) perks do

Cluster Bomb

Rocket detonations release 8 Cluster Bombs. Each Cluster Bomb deals up to 150 [11] damage in a 4 meter radius.

Impact Casing

Increases Impact damage by 10%, resulting in a 2.2% total damage increase (not accounting for other damage perks). High-Impact Rocket Launchers only receive a 1.03% total damage increase.

Lasting Impression

Passively grants 50 Blast Radius. Rockets attach on impact and detonate after 3 seconds, dealing 35% increased Explosive Damage. Due to the split of impact and explosive damage on Rocket Launchers, this perk only provides an overall increase of 26-27% damage for the sake of boss DPS. Does not buff the damage of Wolfpack Rounds.

Auto-Loading Holster

Refills stowed weapon from reserves after 3.5 seconds of it being stowed.

Field Prep

Grants the following while Crouched: • 50 Reload Speed • 0.8x Reload Duration Multiplier • 0.8x Ready/Stow Duration Multiplier Passively grants 20 Ammo Generation stat. (50% more than 1 Ammo Generation armor mod)

Golden Tricorn

While the perk's buff isn't active, Weapon Kills grant 'Golden Tricorn x1' for 7 seconds, increasing weapon damage by 15%. Additional Kills refresh the buff duration. While Golden Tricorn x1 or x2 is active: Grenade or Elemental Melee Kills matching the element of the Weapon grant Golden Tricorn x2 for 10 seconds, increasing weapon damage by 50%. Clarity tooltip editor's note: We're replacing the previous Powered Melee term with Elemental Melee. The former is now exclusively used for perks that require the consumption of a Melee Ability Charge. This note is temporary and will be removed in the future.

Frenzy

After being in Combat for 12 seconds: Grants 15% increased damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload Speed for 7.2 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed. Dealing and receiving damage refreshes the buff duration. For Frenzy, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.

Chain Reaction

Weapon Kills trigger an elemental explosion matching the weapon's element. Damage and radius of the explosions varies based on the weapon's ammo type: • Special Weapons: Up to 67.2 [44.8] damage in a 2.4 meter radius • Power Weapons: Up to 109.2 [72.8] damage in a 3 meter radius

Destabilizing Rounds

Weapon Kills apply Volatile to enemies in a 7 meter radius around the target and grant Volatile Rounds for 3 seconds. 1.5 second cooldown between activations.

Bipod

Increases Magazine Capacity by 1 and Total Reserve Size by 5. Decreases Firing Delay by 25%. Decreases Blast Radius by 30, Reload Speed by 20, and damage by 25% (also applies to Wolfpack Rounds and Cluster Bombs).

Envious Assassin

Upon readying the weapon after scoring Kills with your other Weapons: Refills and/or overfills the Magazine from reserves based on the amount of Weapon Kills scored. Maximum total overfill amount is 200% of the Magazine Capacity. Each activation can only load up to 100% of the Magazine Capacity into the magazine. Loaded ammo per Kill by ammo type (rounds up): • Primary Weapons: 10% of Magazine Capacity • Special and Power Weapons: 20%
