pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "Fang of Ir Yut is back and is the first Crota’s End weapon we will be talking about. It is a rapid-fire frame scout with some incredible perks. It might not be the strongest for PvP but for PvE we have some incredible perks. Rewind Rounds and Precision Instrument will keep your damage going and grant you extra bullets refunded. Rapid Hit also substitutes in here nicely as both perks require precision hits. Sword Logic is a new damage perk similar to Rampage or any other stackable buffs. Finally you can use this scout as a faster Taraxippus with Hatchling and Shoot to Loot to pick up orbs and ammo from a distance." Recommended MW: Reload.

pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller): "Fang isn’t as strong over in the crucible where map design doesn’t always lead to good scout rifle engagements. Being a rapid-fire frame does give this weapon an edge in closer gunfights but I would use another weapon for CQC. The best perks here are definitely Keep Away or Rapid Hit and Kill Clip. Rapid-fire frames feel incredible with Kill Clip active and the accuracy boost from Keep Away or the bonus stability from Rapid Hit will be appreciated." Recommended MW: Stability.

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 79 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/1qz5FD88RfmGHDjedV6nGo?si=7e1c1558ecea4f1c) with @ImpetusAlways, @Saint_Kabr and @CourtProjects. First-choice PvE pick for Strand synergy and add clearing Minor Spec enemies in general content. Shapeable. This is the first rapid-fire Strand scout rifle (so you get an Alloy Mag-like 20% quicker reload animation when the magazine is empty), with best-in-class stats compared to other RFs in the kinetic slot. The recoil direction is a bit shonky, so Arrowhead Brake cleans that up a bit, but if you feel able to control it, Fluted Barrel adds to handling for general snappiness. You can choose from any of the combat effect rounds as the mag perk, depending on your preference. For your Strand Synergy, Rapid Hit helps with reload speed and stability, or Rewind Rounds extends your magazine in the first trait column as the support park, while Hatchling is the Strand option-de-jour in the second column as the signature perk. The Cursed Thrall origin perk synergises well with melee builds and is a lot of fun for helping soften up groups of enemies when active. Recommended MW: Handling or Reload Speed, with a damage boosting (Minor or Taken Spec) mod.|tags: PvE, PvE-MinorSpec, PvE-EndGame, PvE-God, M+KB, Controller

For end-game use, Shoot to Loot as the first trait column support perk lets you gather ammo and orbs of power from a distance and Golden Tricorn can boost damage by 50% when the second stack kicks in - even if Strand is more difficult to proc, especially at the distance you'll be engaging at with a scout rifle. What these Fang of Ir Yût perks do

High-Caliber Rounds

Hits inflict increased Flinch on Enemies. PVE: Tier 1-2 Minors can be repeatedly staggered. Higher Tier Combatants stagger quicker. PVP: Flinch against Players varies based on damage and Weapon Archetype. Flinch increase ranges between 5-10%.

Golden Tricorn

While the perk's buff isn't active, Weapon Kills grant 'Golden Tricorn x1' for 7 seconds, increasing weapon damage by 15%. Additional Kills refresh the buff duration. While Golden Tricorn x1 or x2 is active: Grenade or Elemental Melee Kills matching the element of the Weapon grant Golden Tricorn x2 for 10 seconds, increasing weapon damage by 50%. Clarity tooltip editor's note: We're replacing the previous Powered Melee term with Elemental Melee. The former is now exclusively used for perks that require the consumption of a Melee Ability Charge. This note is temporary and will be removed in the future.

Shoot to Loot

Weapon Hits against Orbs of Power collect them. If collecting ammo is possible: Weapon Hits against Ammo Bricks pick them up, trigger Ammo Pickup Effects, and refill all Weapons from reserves. Does not require direct hits.

Armor-Piercing Rounds

Grants 5% increased damage against Elemental and Barrier Champion Shields. Allows bullets to overpenetrate enemies once.

Rapid Hit

"Buffed Hits" grant 1 Stack of Rapid Hit for 2 seconds. Maximum of 5 Stacks. "Buffed Hits" refer to any "Yellow Number" Hits such as Precision Hits or Hits against debuffed targets. Benefits at 1|2|3|4|5 Stacks: • 2|12|14|18|25 Stability • 5|30|35|42|60 Reload Speed • 0.99x|0.96x|0.95x|0.945x|0.92x Reload Duration Multiplier

Hatchling

Scoring a Precision Kill or 3 kills within 3 seconds of each other spawns a Threadling at the target's location.

Rewind Rounds

Upon emptying the Magazine: Refills 60% of the number of Hits landed (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Hits are counted from either your last reload or the last time the perk was triggered. Does not require Direct Hits. Requires firing 28.75% of the Magazine Capacity for the refill to activate. Cannot load the Magazine beyond its base capacity. Hits after triggering a refill do not count while the Rewind Rounds buff is active (1? second). Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifle behavior: • Each individual bolt in the burst counts as a Hit • Refill amount is uniquely 14% of the number of Hits rounded up (numbers are subject to change once we get more data points)

Precision Instrument

Direct Weapon Hits grant a stack of Precision Instrument for 1.25 seconds (2.1 seconds on weapons with a Draw/Charge Time). Maximum of 6 stacks. Reloading the weapon (except on Bows) or missing removes all stacks... usually. Heavy Burst Frame weapons can only gain 1 stack per burst. Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifles require 1.5? Hits for each stack (and missing sometimes does not remove your stacks on them). Precision damage increase at 1|2|... stacks: 4.17% | 8.33% | 12.5% | 16.67% | 20.83% | 25%

Sword Logic

Weapon Kills grant Stacks of Sword Logic. The number of Stacks and the buff duration are tied to the highest Enemy Rank killed since activation: • Minors: 1 Stack for 5.5 seconds • Elites, Players: 2 Stacks for 7.5 seconds • Players in their Super and Minibosses: 3 Stacks for 10.5 seconds • Bosses: 4 Stacks for 15.5 seconds Damage increase at 1|2|3|4 Stacks: 15% | 25% [15%] | 35% | 50% Additional Kills refresh the buff duration to the duration tied to the highest Enemy Rank killed.

Kill Clip

Finishing a reload within 3.6 seconds of a kill grants 25% increased damage for 5 seconds. Stowing the weapon removes the buff. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.

Keep Away

While no enemies are within 15 meters: Grants 10 Range, 30 Reload Speed, and decreases Accuracy Cone Growth by 5?%.

Opening Shot

Grants the following benefits for your first shot (of the burst): • 20 Aim Assist and 25 Range • 5% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 10% decreased Accuracy Cone Growth Special weapons only receive 50% of the benefits. Stats are rounded up. Firing the weapon prevents the perk from activating for 3 seconds.

Surplus

Grants Stat Bonuses depending on the number of Charged Abilities. Stat Bonuses with 1|2|3+ Charged Abilities: • 5|15|25 Stability • 5|25|60 Handling • 10|25|60 Reload Speed
