pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "Imminence with Chaos Reshaped or Firefly will be a weapon to bring to any activity. Chaos Reshaped is better for Onslaught type activities where the fighting barely stops, while Firefly will be better room to room like in a strike or story mission with downtime. Perpetual Motion and Enlightened Action both allow you to have faster reloads depending on moving or hitting things." Recommended MW: Stability.

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies episode 111 from 30 July 2024 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/4KO3Yr8AkPRBgKlNmacrGS?si=6dfa9e466dde41a0) with @Saint_Kabr, @ImpetusAlways and @CourtProjects (PvE / PvE-MinorSpec / PvE-EndGame / PvE-God / M+KB / Controller): First-choice PvE pick for add-clearing minor enemies in end-game actives. Shapeable. Base stats are okay by comparison to its peers and equate to 17.24m ADS range before damage dropoff, 0.23s ADS speed, 0.31s ready and 0.27s stow speed, and 2.17s reload speed. Even if you hit 100 recoil, it's still tough to control on controller, so look to boost stability with your barrel and mag perks - a little extra reload speed never hurts too. For end-game use, you're looking for traits that don't need a kill to proc, so in the first column Perpetual Motion, and Enlightened Action (more for the reload than the handling boost) work. In the second, Desperate Measures is the best damage perk - grenade and melee kills are easy with Prismatic for up to a +30% boost. The Collective Purpose origin trait only works in a fireteam, but offers small boosts to range and handling, which is always useful. Recommended MW: Stability or Reload Speed, with a Backup Mag mod.

You have the choice of both Demolitionist and Pugilist in the first trait column so, if you're building around grenade or melee abilities, you'll be able to recover ability energy quickly. pairing well in the second, Desperate Measures is the best damage perk - grenade and melee kills are easy with Prismatic too - for up to a +30% boost. The Collective Purpose origin trait only works in a fireteam, but offers small boosts to range and handling, which is always useful. Recommended MW: Stability or Reload Speed, with a Backup Mag mod.

pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "While lightweight frames are good for the faster mobility / dodge cooldown this one in particular can hold its own outside of being a good frame for the crucible. Dynamic Sway Reduction and Kill Clip are incredible for dueling and kill chaining together. I would like to see someone try and keep Chaos Reshaped up but I don’t think outside of top tier players it would come into play. Staying alive and in combat for that long is just difficult to do." Recommended MW: Range.

If you want a primary to use in a boss damage phase, particularly on Hunter, then Slice will sever after a dodge reload, for -40% damage reduction to outgoing boss damage. While you're not going to be using this as your primary damage option, Chaos Reshaped should be procced while stowed for both stacks, so you should get the +35% damage and maybe a burst of healing when you use it with a Bait and Switch heavy weapon. The Collective Purpose origin trait only works in a fireteam, but offers small boosts to range and handling, which is always useful. Recommended MW: Stability or Reload Speed, with a Backup Mag mod.

What these Imminence (Adept) perks do

Perpetual Motion

While moving at a minimum of 2 meters per second: Grants a Stack of 'Perpetual Motion' after 2 seconds and a second Stack after 10 seconds. Each Stack provides 10 Stability, 10 Handling, and 10 Reload Speed. All Stacks are removed if movement speed is below 2 m/s for 0.5 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed.

Desperate Measures

Weapon Kills grant 'Desperate Measures x1' (DMx1), increasing damage by 10% for 7 seconds. Grenade or Melee Kills grant 20% increased damage for 7 seconds (DMx2). Scoring another Grenade or Melee Kill with DMx2 active increases this to 30% (DMx3). Can be activated while stowed. Weapon, Grenade, and Melee Kills refresh the buff duration.

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

Enlightened Action

Weapon Hits grant Stacks of Enlightened Action for 2 seconds. Maximum of 12 Stacks. Stat bonuses at 1|2|…|12 Stacks: 2|7|12|15|20|25|30|35|38|40|45|50 Handling and Reload Speed Stacks granted per hit by Weapon Type: • Hand Cannons: 3 Stacks • Bows: ? Stacks • Automatic Weapons: 1 Stack

Demolitionist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Grenade Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Using your Grenade Ability refills the Magazine with a 3 second cooldown. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Pugilist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Melee Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Dealing Melee Damage grants 35 Handling for 3 seconds. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Slice

Using your Class Ability (even while the weapon is stowed) grants you 'Slice' for 8 seconds. While 'Slice' is active, damaging non-Severed targets Severs them, grants a stack of Slice, and refreshes the buff duration. (Hitting immune targets also triggers this.) Reaching 5 stacks immediately removes the buff. If the Severing hit kills the target, the perk will not trigger and you will not gain a stack.

Chaos Reshaped

Being in Combat for 12 seconds grants a Stack of 'Chaos Reshaped' for 7 seconds. Maintaining the first Stack for 12 seconds grants a second Stack. Buff can be activated while stowed. For Chaos Reshaped, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Benefits at Chaos Reshaped x1 and x2: • x1: grants 20% increased damage • x2: grants 35% increased damage and grants a periodic burst of healing Healing effect is bugged! While Chaos Reshaped x2 is active: Stowing the weapon or keeping it readied for 7 seconds grants a continous healing effect of 5 HP per second. Stowing this weapon grants the effect for 1 to 7 seconds (cycling, it's complicated), while keeping it readied after activation makes the healing effectively constant. While this healing effect is active, NO OTHER SOURCE OF HEALING CAN RESTORE THE FINAL [~35 to 5] HP OF YOUR HEALTH BAR! This unrecoverable HP segment can only be healed by Chaos Reshaped's 5/HPs effect. For more details, visit the perk description in the Destiny Data Compendium.

Firefly

On Precision Kills: • Target explodes, dealing 104 [80] Solar damage in a 4 meter radius • Grants 50 Reload Speed for 6 seconds

Hatchling

Scoring a Precision Kill or 3 kills within 3 seconds of each other spawns a Threadling at the target's location.

Kill Clip

Finishing a reload within 3.6 seconds of a kill grants 25% increased damage for 5 seconds. Stowing the weapon removes the buff. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.

Dynamic Sway Reduction

Each shot while holding down the trigger grants the following benefits: • 1 Stability • ?% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 10% decreased Accuracy Cone Growth Reaches maximum strength after 10 shots, granting 10 Stability, ?% decreased Accuracy Cone Size, and 100% decreased Accuracy Cone Growth.

Target Lock

Successive Hits within 0.2 seconds of each grant a ramping Damage Buff after scoring 12.5% of the Magazine Capacity as hits. Missing deactivates the buff. Stacks displayed on-screen are only visual aides, the buff ramps up with each shot once active. Reaches maximum strength at 5 Stacks. % of the Magazine Capacity as Hits required for each Visual Stack: 12.5%|35.5%|54.5%|74.5%|110.33% Damage Buff ramps up from 16.73% [10.46%] to 40% [25%] upon reaching maximum strength. Assuming no missed shots, it provides roughly a 25% [15.85%] Damage Buff on average after firing 100% of the Magazine Capacity.
