pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "In PvP you’ll find some interesting success with Opening Shot and Archer’s Gambit. If you don’t want to hip-fire then you can go with Impulse Amplifier or even Archer’s Tempo for consistency. Explosive Head and Moving Target are both tried and true options with bows, again, if hip-firing isn’t your speed." Recommended MW: Accuracy or Draw Time.

pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "No arguments here, this is the best weapon from the Salvation’s Edge raid. Non-Denouement, while hard to spell, gives us something we haven’t seen before; Dragonfly and Voltshot together. Dragonfly allows you to get some AoE damage on the initial kill while Voltshot on a bow will make it so as long as you’re getting kills you’ll be able to jolt on the next shot. Dealing AoE damage on top of more AoE damage and jolt is just hilariously fun and gives Trinity Ghoul vibes without the cost of your exotic. You cannot hold onto the Voltshot shot like Trinity Ghoul but that alone separates this legendary from the exotic." Recommended MW: Accuracy, or Draw Time.

Adamsdown_Boy written v8.0.0.8 (PvE / PvE-Boss/ PvE-MajorSpec / PvE-BossSpec / PvE-EndGame / PvE-God / M+KB / Controller): PvE pick for add-clearing Minor Spec red-bar adds in end-game content. Shapeable. Non-Dénouement is French for "No final outcome" - make of that what you will! Base stats are good by comparison to its peers, and equate to a 0.622s draw time, 0.42s perfect draw window, 0.43s ADS speed, 0.58s ready and 0.44s stow speed, and 0.78s reload speed. As with most bows, use the bowstring and arrow perks to reduce the draw time, and improve accuracy. If you don't already have an arc bow for end-game use, in the first column Archer's Tempo is reliable as ever, reducing draw time further, or Shoot to Loot is handy to pick up remote ammo bricks and reloading all your weapons. If you're after all the explosions, Dragonfly is there too. In the second column, Explosive Head adds a little extra damage and AoE - which will also pick up ammo bricks with Shoot to Loot. The Collective Purpose origin trait only works in a fireteam, but offers a small boost draw speed, which is always useful. Recommended MW: Draw Time, with a Quick Access Sling or Sprint Grip mod.

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies episode 111 from 30 July 2024 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/4KO3Yr8AkPRBgKlNmacrGS?si=6dfa9e466dde41a0) with @Saint_Kabr, @ImpetusAlways and @CourtProjects (PvE / PvE-MinorSpec / PvE-EndGame / PvE-God / M+KB / Controller): First-choice PvE pick for add-clearing Minor Spec red-bar adds in end-game content, particularly with an arc build. As with most bows, the bowstring and arrow perks will reduce the draw time with Elastic String (reduces to 0.556s), and recover the lost accuracy with Straight Fletching. The roll that everyone's looking for is the "baby" Trinity Ghoul, with Voltshot in the second trait column for jolting and chaining arc damage - which you can improve on with arc aspects and fragments. To pair with this in the first column, Archer's Tempo is reliable as ever, reducing draw time to 0.417s after a crit hit but, if you're after all the explosions, Dragonfly is there too. The Collective Purpose origin trait only works in a fireteam, but offers a small boost to draw speed, which is always useful. Recommended MW: Draw Time, with an Adept Draw Time mod.

What these Non-Denouement (Adept) perks do

Archer's Tempo

Precision Hits decrease Draw Time by 25% for 3 seconds. Buff is removed on stow.

Voltshot

Finishing a reload within 5.3 seconds of a Weapon Kill grants Voltshot for 7 seconds. While Voltshot is active, your next Weapon Hit consumes the buff and applies Jolt to the target. Applied Jolt's damage (generally) does not count as Weapon Damage.

Dragonfly

Precision Kills cause targets to explode, dealing up to 123.89 [95.3] weapon-matching elemental damage in a 4.5-meter radius.

Explosive Head

Splits off 50% of the Bow's bodyshot damage into an Explosive Payload that detonates in a 3 meter radius on impact. The Payload deals 30% increased damage in PvE and staggers PvE Combatants more. Payload detonation time after hitting a target or surface depends on the distance. The remaining Impact damage portion receives an increased Crit Multiplier to compensate for the Payload not benefitting from crits. [PvE] Total damage is increased by ~15% of the weapon's bodyshot damage. On crits, the overall increase is 10.33% for Precision Bows and 9.69% for Lightweight Bows. [PvP] Total damage remains roughly the same but can vary by 1-2% in either direction for crits.

Shoot to Loot

Weapon Hits against Orbs of Power collect them. If collecting ammo is possible: Weapon Hits against Ammo Bricks pick them up, trigger Ammo Pickup Effects, and refill all Weapons from reserves. Does not require direct hits.

Chaos Reshaped

Being in Combat for 12 seconds grants a Stack of 'Chaos Reshaped' for 7 seconds. Maintaining the first Stack for 12 seconds grants a second Stack. Buff can be activated while stowed. For Chaos Reshaped, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Benefits at Chaos Reshaped x1 and x2: • x1: grants 20% increased damage • x2: grants 35% increased damage and grants a periodic burst of healing Healing effect is bugged! While Chaos Reshaped x2 is active: Stowing the weapon or keeping it readied for 7 seconds grants a continous healing effect of 5 HP per second. Stowing this weapon grants the effect for 1 to 7 seconds (cycling, it's complicated), while keeping it readied after activation makes the healing effectively constant. While this healing effect is active, NO OTHER SOURCE OF HEALING CAN RESTORE THE FINAL [~35 to 5] HP OF YOUR HEALTH BAR! This unrecoverable HP segment can only be healed by Chaos Reshaped's 5/HPs effect. For more details, visit the perk description in the Destiny Data Compendium.

Opening Shot

Grants the following benefits for your first shot (of the burst): • 20 Aim Assist and 25 Range • 5% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 10% decreased Accuracy Cone Growth Special weapons only receive 50% of the benefits. Stats are rounded up. Firing the weapon prevents the perk from activating for 3 seconds.

Archer's Gambit

Hip-fire Precision Hits grant the following benefits for 4 seconds: • 60% decreased Draw Time • 100 Reload Speed • ? Reload Duration Multiplier Hip-fire Precision Hits extend the buff duration by 4 seconds up to the maximum of 8 seconds.

Moving Target

Grants the following while Aiming Down Sights (ADS): • 10 Aim Assist • 10% decreased ADS Movement Speed Penalty

Impulse Amplifier

Passively grants 20 Reload Speed and 15% decreased Reload Animation Duration (20% for Rocket Launchers). Passively increases Projectile Velocity based on Weapon Archetype: • Rocket Launchers: 10% • Support-Frame Auto Rifles: 15% • Micro-Missile Frame Weapons: 25%

Hip-Fire Grip

Grants the following benefits while hipfiring: • 25 Stability and 15 Aim Assist • 2.7° larger Precision Aim Cone Angle • 30% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 20% increased Aim Assist Falloff Distance • 20% increased Damage Falloff Distance The Damage Falloff increase does not apply to The Last Word, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, and Fusion Rifles. PvP-specific note: the Precision Aim Cone Angle increase essentially just allows you to hit Crits while aimed above or slightly to the side of the head. (This is already the default behavior of Submachine Guns, Sidearms, Bows, Machine Guns, and Linear Fusion Rifles so it does not affect them)
