Inspired by @PodvsEnemies episode 135 from 25 March 2024 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/5JwIN3avdyW27aRjv4Zb2D?si=21b247e788174887) with @CourtProjects, @Saint_Kabr and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE pick for use against Minor adds in both general at-level or better, or end-game underlevelled content, particularly with melee builds. Refusal of the Call is the first adaptive frame strand glaive, which is the subfamily with the best shield duration, if that's your play. At base, the stats are okay - 64 Range equates to 18.49m and a velocity of 111.28m/s, 44 Shield Duration is 11.49s, 60 Handling is 0.30s ready and 0.35s stow speed, 43 Reload Speed is a 2.75s reload, and magazine size is 6 (max 8). With 0/1/2/3 reserves mods, total ammo is 30/36/40/42 (max 42). There are a couple of Haft perks that can help boost shield duration, but they have a mix of bonuses and maluses, so go with that suits your playstyle best. For the magazine perk, either look for something that helps with mag size or reload. There are a few decent trait perks in the first column to help with reload or to avoid reloading altogether - Auto-Loading Holster, Envious Assassin, Impulse Amplifier and Discord. In the second column, pair that together with Close to Melee to boost the glaive melee damage by ×1.3 for 10s on a projectile hit (refreshable for 5s on melee or projectile hits), or Disruption Break which provides a ×1.5 boost to glaive melee damage for 5.5s if you break an enemy's shield with a projectile. Willing Vessel is a useful, if unspectacular origin trait to boost gunfeel stats in the background as you hit and kill targets, but if you're in a fireteam, and manually reloading, Runneth Over will overfill your magazine by an additional 10% (rounded up) for each Guardian you're within 15m of. Recommended MW: Handling or Reload Speed, with a Backup Mag mod or, when masterworked, Synergy to create Strand Tangles or, when the artifact mod's around, Stunloader. You can Slice, get better projectile speed, extra ammo in the mag, auto-loading, shield shenanigans, or ammo from thin air. Combine any of these with the damage from Sword Logic or Vorpal Weapon, the shield breaking and damage stacking with Disruption Break. pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "While there's so many interesting combinations in PvP there's the set standard of Tilting at Windmills and Unstoppable Force in PvP. It's not Immovable Object but it will suffice. Impulse Amplifier will still be best in slot for offering near instant projectiles. Slice for Sever is also great in any team environment. The funniest build for me is the full block fast movement (fast as ~~f*ck~~ boi) with Tilting at Windmills and the new Melee Momentum perk providing a total of 14 seconds of improved movement speed (it's also possible it stacks for 4 seconds of super fast speed)." Sword Logic

Weapon Kills grant Stacks of Sword Logic. The number of Stacks and the buff duration are tied to the highest Enemy Rank killed since activation: • Minors: 1 Stack for 5.5 seconds • Elites, Players: 2 Stacks for 7.5 seconds • Players in their Super and Minibosses: 3 Stacks for 10.5 seconds • Bosses: 4 Stacks for 15.5 seconds Damage increase at 1|2|3|4 Stacks: 15% | 25% [15%] | 35% | 50% Additional Kills refresh the buff duration to the duration tied to the highest Enemy Rank killed.

Impulse Amplifier

Passively grants 20 Reload Speed and 15% decreased Reload Animation Duration (20% for Rocket Launchers). Passively increases Projectile Velocity based on Weapon Archetype: • Rocket Launchers: 10% • Support-Frame Auto Rifles: 15% • Micro-Missile Frame Weapons: 25%

Disruption Break

On Elemental, Barrier or Guardian Shield Break: Applies Kinetic Damage Vulnerability to the enemy, increasing Kinetic damage taken by 50% for 5.5 [5] seconds. Stacks with all other Buffs and Debuffs (including itself).

Unstoppable Force

Blocking damage with the Glaive Shield grants 20% increased projectile damage for 4 seconds. Buff is removed if you stop blocking.

Slice

Using your Class Ability (even while the weapon is stowed) grants you 'Slice' for 8 seconds. While 'Slice' is active, damaging non-Severed targets Severs them, grants a stack of Slice, and refreshes the buff duration. (Hitting immune targets also triggers this.) Reaching 5 stacks immediately removes the buff. If the Severing hit kills the target, the perk will not trigger and you will not gain a stack.

Discord

Grants the following for 7 seconds upon readying the weapon within 5? seconds of scoring a Kill with a different weapon: • 25% decreased ADS Animation Duration • 25% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 30 Airborne Effectiveness Weapon Kills while Discord is active fully refill the Magazine of Primary Weapons, and refund 1 Ammo for Special and Power Weapons. (Scoring multiple kills with a single shot/burst still only refunds 1 ammo.)

Swap Mag

Decreases Ready/Stow Animation Duration by 10%.

Melee Momentum

Glaive Melee Kills grant Weapon Energy and ?% increased movement speed while Blocking for 10 seconds. Weapon Energy granted by Enemy Rank: • Minors: 16.7% • Elites, Players: ?% • Minibosses: 50%

Tilting at Windmills

Blocking damage with this weapon increases movement speed while Blocking by 25?% for 4 seconds. Buff is removed when you stop blocking or if Glaive/Sword Energy runs out.

Close to Melee

Glaive Projectile Kills grant 60% [30%] increased Glaive Melee damage for 10 seconds. Dealing Projectile or Melee damage extends the buff duration by 5 seconds, up to 10 seconds.

Replenishing Aegis

Refills 1 round into the Magazine from reserves upon blocking damage. 1 second cooldown after activation. Does not work while the magazine is overfilled (assumed).

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

Auto-Loading Holster

Refills stowed weapon from reserves after 3.5 seconds of it being stowed.

Envious Assassin

Upon readying the weapon after scoring Kills with your other Weapons: Refills and/or overfills the Magazine from reserves based on the amount of Weapon Kills scored. Maximum total overfill amount is 200% of the Magazine Capacity. Each activation can only load up to 100% of the Magazine Capacity into the magazine. Loaded ammo per Kill by ammo type (rounds up): • Primary Weapons: 10% of Magazine Capacity • Special and Power Weapons: 20%
