pandapaxxy (PvE Controller \ M+KB): Recommended MW: Reload “I wish legendary rocket launchers had more identities over just damage or single use boom sticks. Roar of the Bear is no exception to this rule. You can either set it up for maximum damage via field prep or demolitionist, paired with lasting impression, or vorpal weapon. OR set it up with chain reaction or incandescent and impulse amplifier so the boom gets there quicker. There really is not anything interesting or new with rockets, so keep on going for the usual.“ (Year 5 S18: Season of Plunder Solar Rocket Launcher Heavy Ammo)|tags:PvE, Controller, M+KB

pandapaxxy (PvP Controller): Recommended MW: Blast Radius “Same thing in PvP. Legendary rockets have a lot to compete for when Wardcliff Coil, Gjallerhorn, Deathbringer, or even Two-Tailed Fox exist. If you are not using an exotic weapon, want to use a rocket, and are not using one of those above, you are crazy. Legendary rockets have so much they need to do in order to even be thought of because they are one and done. If you cannot secure that single kill, why not use an exotic rocket and know you will get that kill.“ (Year 5 S18: Season of Plunder Solar Rocket Launcher Heavy Ammo)

[YeezyGT's S18] [MW: Handling] "Roar of the Bear does something many other Rockets can't. Combining Auto-Loading Holster with Demolitionist gives it great utility, and making it a dual-purpose Rocket for swapping with weapons like Izanagi's Burden. Impulse Amplifier / Auto-Loading Holster with high Handling makes this a top contender for Divinity users too, as you can maintain the Divinity cage while shooting off Rockets of your own." tags:pve

What these Roar of the Bear perks do

Auto-Loading Holster

Refills stowed weapon from reserves after 3.5 seconds of it being stowed.

Demolitionist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Grenade Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Using your Grenade Ability refills the Magazine with a 3 second cooldown. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Impact Casing

Increases Impact damage by 10%, resulting in a 2.2% total damage increase (not accounting for other damage perks). High-Impact Rocket Launchers only receive a 1.03% total damage increase.

Skulking Wolf

Weapon Kills while at or below 90 HP grant the following benefits for 10 seconds: • Enhanced Radar (6🠚12 sectors) • Removes you from passively pinging enemy radars • PvE Combatants become less accurate when targeting you Firing weapons will still ping enemy radars for 2 seconds. (Radar Blip indicates that it's only visible for 0.75 seconds; this is inaccurate)

Field Prep

Grants the following while Crouched: • 50 Reload Speed • 0.8x Reload Duration Multiplier • 0.8x Ready/Stow Duration Multiplier Passively grants 20 Ammo Generation stat. (50% more than 1 Ammo Generation armor mod)

Impulse Amplifier

Passively grants 20 Reload Speed and 15% decreased Reload Animation Duration (20% for Rocket Launchers). Passively increases Projectile Velocity based on Weapon Archetype: • Rocket Launchers: 10% • Support-Frame Auto Rifles: 15% • Micro-Missile Frame Weapons: 25%

Lasting Impression

Passively grants 50 Blast Radius. Rockets attach on impact and detonate after 3 seconds, dealing 35% increased Explosive Damage. Due to the split of impact and explosive damage on Rocket Launchers, this perk only provides an overall increase of 26-27% damage for the sake of boss DPS. Does not buff the damage of Wolfpack Rounds.

Chain Reaction

Weapon Kills trigger an elemental explosion matching the weapon's element. Damage and radius of the explosions varies based on the weapon's ammo type: • Special Weapons: Up to 67.2 [44.8] damage in a 2.4 meter radius • Power Weapons: Up to 109.2 [72.8] damage in a 3 meter radius

Vorpal Weapon

Deals increased damage against Minibosses, Bosses, and Vehicles, as well as Players in their Super Ability. Damage increase by Ammo Type: • Primary Weapons: 20% [60%] • Special Weapons: 15% [20%] • Power Weapons: 10% [20%]

Incandescent

Weapon Kills trigger a Solar explosion that applies 30 Scorch Stacks (40 with Ember of Ashes) and deals up to 30 damage to enemies within 4 meters of the target. Killing Elite or higher tier Combatants and Players increases the radius to 8 meters and applies 10 more Scorch Stacks. Scorch damage can be increased through Weapon Damage Buffs.

Tracking Module

While Aiming Down Sights and targeting an Enemy: Fired Rockets track the targeted enemy. Diminshed effectiveness in PVP. Tracking persists for 1 second once no longer aiming at the enemy.

Ambitious Assassin

Reloading after scoring Kills with the weapon overfills the magazine from reserves based on the number of Kills scored. Overfill amount maxes out at 150% of the Magazine Capacity. Always rounds up. Kill counter persists through stow. Overfill amount per Kill scored: • Primary Weapons: 20% • Special and Power Weapons: 10%
