Inspired by @ImpetusAlways, @Saint_Kabr and @CourtProjects (PvE PvE-Minor PvE-SingleAdd PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for clearing individual Minor adds or tougher enemies in activities rated Normal, Hard or Very Hard difficulty, particularly with Arc melee builds. Sarpedon-D is a spread shot hand cannon which as a subfamily are rated B-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic as a huge statistical outlier but a little niche and close-range. The frame intrinsic fires a spread of 12 pellets that disappear after 25m as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are decent by comparison with its peers - you can see at https://d2foundry.gg/w/3318545829 how the weapon stats impact in-game performance. Use the barrel perk to boost Handling or tighten up the pellet spread, and then with the magazine perk go for something that helps improve the poor Reload Speed or the magazine size. Arc builds give you access to Amplified and Spark of Frequency, and the boosts to Handling, Stability and Reload Speed, and you can improve that in the first trait perk column with Eddy Current which boosts Handling with a ×0.95 animation scalar and +20 Reload Speed with a ×0.95 animation scalar for 3s after sprinting for 1.5s, which is all applied instantly when Amplified with +60 to Reload Speed. Alternatively, you can use Spark of Momentum together with Trickle Charge to refill 10% of the magazine on receiving a stack of Arc Bolt Charge, and 20% when you discharge with a lightning bolt on a target. For melee builds, there's both One-Two Punch for +75% melee damage for 3s for hitting all 12 pellets (10 when enhanced) or Trench Barrel to provide ×1.5 damage for 5s or three shots together with +30 (+35 enhanced) to Handling and Reload Speed after a melee hit. You've got a choice of origin traits. You might be lucky and get the rare Accelerated Assault origin trait, which passively refills 10% of the magazine, and boosts damage by ×1.05 for getting 3 hits within a 1.6s window. Otherwise there's Problem Solver, which is very good for PvE when facing yellow bars - 4 hits from the central pellet of the spread will apply Exhaust to an enemy, reducing damage output to ×0.9 for a refreshable 5s and grant +50 to Reload Speed and Handling for 10s (12s enhanced) - both effects are also refreshable. There's also Vanguard Vindication which provides up to ×3 stacks on kills within 20s of using a class ability that reduces incoming damage to a max ×0.94 for a refreshable 10s (12.5s enhanced). Finally, Häkke Breach Armaments passively boosts damage against vehicles by ×1.15 (×1.2 enhanced), turrets and constructs by ×1.3 (×1.6 enhanced) and Stasis crystals by ×1.45. If you're interested, Sarpedon was a son of Zeus and Europa and king of Lycia, killed in the Trojan War. Recommended MW: Handling or Stability, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.|tags:PvE PvE-Minor PvE-SingleAdd PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller

SpaceMonkey (PvE / God-PvE): "It's a good weapon and it comes with the best primary archetype in the game right now. That being said, it is exclusive to arc subclasses since the only good perk 1 options are both heavily arc-buff based." Recommended MW: Reload, Range, Handling.

Inspired by @ImpetusAlways, @Saint_Kabr and @CourtProjects (PvE PvE-Minor PvE-GroupAdd PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for clearing groups of Minor adds in activities rated Normal difficulty, particularly with Arc builds. You've got a choice of origin traits. You might be lucky and get the rare Accelerated Assault origin trait, which passively refills 10% of the magazine, and boosts damage by ×1.05 for getting 3 hits within a 1.6s window.
