SpaceMonkey (PvE): "It's a glaive. It's a pretty good glaive, all things considered, but it's still a very niche audience that will want this particular weapon." Recommended MW: Shield Duration, Handling.

Inspired by @Saint_Kabr and @CourtProjects (PvE PvE-Boss PvE-MajorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for burst damage against shielded Elites, Banes, Champions and Minibosses general at-level or better, and end-game underleveled content. The Heron is an aggressive glaive which are rated B-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic having the best overall damage profile among glaives. The stats are in-band by comparison with its peers - see https://d2foundry.gg/w/617566158 for how the weapon stats impact in-game performance. With this frame type having low Handling and Reload Speed, use the haft and magazine perks to help either or both out. This is the first non-endgame activity glaive that can drop with the trait perk combination of Disruption Break which increases kinetic damage by ×1.5 after breaking an elemental shield with Close to Melee providing a +60% boost to the kinetic glaive melee for 10s (11s when enhanced) refreshable by up to 5s on additional melee or projectile hits. Alternatively, Binary Orbit provides a ×1.25 damage boost for the projectile, to help with a shield break, for a refreshable 8.5s (10.5s enhanced) after any kill with a kinetic or darkness energy alignment. For the Origin Trait, Nail, Meet Hammer grants ×1.08 damage against shields, and an additional 8% Heavy Ammo progress when initially breaking the shield. I've no evidence for this, but I'd like the name to be a reference from the "Wheel of Time" saga, where the Heron mark on a sword is an indication of the status of Blademaster, which would make some sort of sense. Recommended MW: Draw Time, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo regeneration, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.|tags:PvE PvE-Boss PvE-MajorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller
