Boomslang-4fr god roll & best perks

LFRs aren't currently the meta for boss damage at the time of writing but, if you're looking for one that's a featured Edge of Fate weapon, Boomslang-4fr is the only game in town. At base, the battery holds 5 shots (max 6), and total ammo is 21. To keep the three-round burst on target, use the barrel perk to control recoil. For the battery perk, Enhanced Battery will maximise your shots or Accelerated Coils improves charge time and slightly increases DPS at the cost of less total damage. The trat perk set isn't ideal for boss damage, with no way to overflow the battery or passively refill it while shooting. In the first trait perk column, to help with reloads, Envious Arsenal refills the magazine from reserves on dealing damage with both of your other weapons (and bumps Ammo Generation by +20 when enhanced), Field Prep grants +50 Reload Speed with a ×0.8 animation scalar to both reload and ready/stow when crouched and bumps Ammo Generation by +30 (+55 Reload Speed and +40 Ammo Generation enhanced), or Rapid Hit stacks up to 5 times on crit hits for +25 Stability and +60 Reload Speed with a ×0.92 animation multiplier for a refreshable 2s. In the second column, for damage, Precision Instrument repeated crit hits grant escalating damage up to ×1.25 at 6 stacks (×1.3 when enhanced) for 1.25s or until you miss a crit. Alternatively, Jolting Feedback applies Jolt after 3 hits - the last shot of a single burst - to tougher enemies who can survive the weapon damage, triggering chain lightning on further hits for both target and AoE damage. The Vanguard Vindication Origin Trait provides up to 3 stacks of ×0.98/0.96/0.94 damage reduction for 10s, for kills within 20s of using a class ability. More usefully, Veist Stinger provides a 10% chance per hit to refill 25% of the battery.
