Constructed by @Adamsdown_Boy (PvE PvE-Minor PvE-SingleAdd PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for clearing individual Minor adds or tougher enemies in activities rated Normal, Hard or Very Hard difficulty. Chain of Command is an adaptive LMG, which are rated B-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic Endgame Analysis Spreadsheet, who says "technically a strict downgrade to aggressive damage profile, but barrier intrinsic is noticeable". The frame intrinsic offers built in Anti-Barrier, but offers no bonuses beyond being "well-rounded, reliable and sturdy" as per the Destiny Data Compendium. The recoil direction is a little left of vertical and reasonably tight so you could improve recoil control or just look to boost Stability to help hit crits, or Handling if you can land your shots. In the magazine perk slot, Armor-Piercing Rounds are best, but any of the combat effect mags, or perks that improve Reload Speed or mag size are fine. If you're maybe running a double special loadout and need something for add-clearing then in the first trait perk column, Subsistence reloads 20% of the magazine on kills. Pair that a damage perk in the second column there's perks like Killing Tally which gains a stack for each enemy killed up to ×3 to boost damage by up to ×1.3 until you reload or stow, or Desperate Measures for up to ×3 stacks for ×1.3 damage for a refreshable 7.5s for a weapon and then two ability kills. Alternatively, for a bit of splash damage, Meganeura builds up to ×3 stacks on crit hits for a refreshable 4s for AoE explosive damage in a 7.5m radius on a crit kill - the explosion is treated as weapon damage so inherits damage boosts and also procs weapon effects like Subsistence. There's two useful origin traits - Aegis ranks the Vanguard Determination origin trait as B-Tier - providing up to ×3 stacks of damage resistance to max 6% - that's ×0.94 incoming damage - for a refreshable 12.5s, on kills within 20s of using a class ability. There's also the C-Tier Wild Card which provides the chance of Telesto-like "Experimental Submunitions" dropping on a kill - the number depends on the enemy tier - that last up to 10.5s and explode on contact or proximity to an enemy for additional damage. If you're interested, the name refers to the line of authority and responsibility within the military. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds.|tags:PvE PvE-Minor PvE-SingleAdd PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller

Constructed by @Adamsdown_Boy (PvE PvE-Boss PvE-SustainedDamage PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for sustained DPS in a damage phase of 10s or longer against a single yellow-bar target in activities rated Normal, Hard or Very Hard difficulty. Chain of Command is an adaptive LMG, which are rated B-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet, who says "technically a strict downgrade to aggressive damage profile, but barrier intrinsic is noticeable". In the magazine perk slot, perks that improve Reload Speed or mag size work best for a boss damage roll. For a sustained boss damage roll, in the first trait perk column, Overflow refills the magazine and boosts its capacity to ×2.2 of base, rounded up, on picking up an ammo brick. Pair that a damage perk in the second column there's perks like Killing Tally which gains a stack for each enemy killed up to ×3 to boost damage by up to ×1.3 until you reload or stow, Target Lock stacks up to 5 times on repeated hits within 0.2s of each other for up to ×1.4 damage at 110.33% of base magazine capacity - so needs an overflowed mag to work best. There's also Focused Fury to boost damage by ×1.25 for a refreshable 12s or until reload or stow, after hitting 35% of base capacity as precision hits - that's ~17 hits.
