Adamsdown_Boy written v8.0.0.8 (PvE / PvE-MinorSpec / PvE-EndGame / PvE-God / M+KB / Controller): PvE pick for add-clearing minor enemies in end-game activities. Shapeable. Corrasion - the process of mechanical erosion by abrasion - is the arc member of the new meta pulse rifle - it looks good, and is easily available during Final Shape. Base stats are, as you'd expect, poor compared to the small family of peers, and equate to 36.76m ADS range before damage dropoff, 0.39s ADS speed, 0.44s ready and 0.43s stow speed, and 2.12s reload speed. It fires slowly enough for recoil not to be too much of an issue, so you can focus on Handling and Reload Speed with the barrel and mag perks. In the first trait column, Enlightened Action, Eddy Current, Perpetual Motion round out gunfeel stats or - and don't judge Saint to harshly for this - Air Trigger provides Outlaw-like reload speeds just for jumping as you reload. For passive damage boosts, PVE favourite One For All adds +35% damage for hitting three enemies, or High Ground up to +25% for having your feet 1m higher than your enemy's feet. The Radiolaria Transposer origin trait is extra AoE damage that inherits the pulse rifle's decent damage multiplier and any damage bonus, so the initial explosion can be more damaging than a special ammo Chain Reaction explosion - what's not to love? Recommended MW: Reload Speed, with a Backup Mag mod.

Inspired by @Saint_Kabr and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-Minor PvE-GroupAdd PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for clearing add groups in activities rated Normal difficulty, particularly with Arc subclasses. The updated Corrasion is a Heavy Burst pulse rifle which as a subfamily are currently rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic Endgame Analysis spreadsheet in https://www.destiny2.science/ as "essentially just a worse high-impact auto". The frame intrinsic offers built-in anti-Unstoppable, fires a 2-round burst and grants ×0.9 flinch when ADS as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are okay by comparison with its peers - you can see the stats at https://destiny.report/w/2126178511/corrasion hopefully https://d2foundry.gg/w/2126178511 will show how weapon stats impact in-game performance when the site is back up and running. The recoil is left-ish and a little loose, so to tighten that up, look for a barrel perk that helps with Recoil Direction or, if you can handle it just go for extra handling, and then with the magazine perk go for something that helps improve magazine size or reload. For dealing with add groups and synergising with arc builds, in the first trait perk column, Eddy Current boosts Handling with a ×0.95 animation scalar and +20 Reload Speed with a ×0.95 animation scalar for 3s after sprinting for 1.5s, which is all applied instantly with +60 to Reload Speed when Amplified, or Enlightened Action builds stacks on hits for a refreshable 2s that build after 50 hits (17 bursts) to +50 Handling and Reload Speed (+55 when enhanced). For damage, Voltshot applies Arc Jolt to the next target you hit within 7s (8s when enhanced), after a reload within 5.3s of a kill, for additional damage to the target on further hits plus AoE chain lightning damage on nearby enemies. The Radiolaria Transposer origin trait is useful for clearing adds - three Minors or one Major or Boss enemy kill will result in a 3m AoE explosion on death, leaving a damaging pool of radiolaria for a few seconds. The damage is treated as weapon damage so inherits damage boosts. If you're interested, corrasion is a mechanical form of erosion where moving elements - such as water, wind, or ice - carry abrasive particles that continuously scrape, grind, and wear away a surface. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds.|tags:PvE PvE-Minor PvE-GroupAdd PvE-God M+KB Controller

pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller): "These weapons in PvP are a slight new breed. They're good with neutral damage bonus but Corrasion also doesn't have that. Corrasion does have great dueling perks out the gate. Eye of the Storm or Enlightened Action both aid the gunfeel in engagements and Perpetual Motion gives you better stats for moving. Focused Fury would be a good neutral damage perk if you can hit crits. You don't necessarily need a kill but you'll probably get one along the way." Recommended MW: Stability.

pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "Bungie beefing up some of these less populated archetypes. Our first / second legendary heavy burst pulse rifle comes with the Echoes. Unfortunately the Corrasion has no good reload perk outside of Perpetual Motion. The other stats are nice but I'm not always in motion to take advantage of it. High-Impact Reserves in the third column is interesting to beef up some damage at the end of your magazine but it doesn't do anything to aid us in getting to the next one. Frenzy does bump up handling and reload if you opt for that and will bump up your damage on top of High-Impact Reserves. Voltshot is a great room clearing perk but without a reload perk it's less desirable." Recommended MW: Reload Speed.

What these Corrasion perks do

Eddy Current

Grants the following after sprinting for 1.5 seconds with the weapon readied: • 20 Reload Speed • 0.95x Reload Duration Multiplier • ? Handling • 0.95x Handling Animation Duration Multiplier Sprinting refreshes the buff duration. Being Amplified removes the sprinting requirement and increases the Reload Speed stat bonus to 60.

Voltshot

Finishing a reload within 5.3 seconds of a Weapon Kill grants Voltshot for 7 seconds. While Voltshot is active, your next Weapon Hit consumes the buff and applies Jolt to the target. Applied Jolt's damage (generally) does not count as Weapon Damage.

Enlightened Action

Weapon Hits grant Stacks of Enlightened Action for 2 seconds. Maximum of 12 Stacks. Stat bonuses at 1|2|…|12 Stacks: 2|7|12|15|20|25|30|35|38|40|45|50 Handling and Reload Speed Stacks granted per hit by Weapon Type: • Hand Cannons: 3 Stacks • Bows: ? Stacks • Automatic Weapons: 1 Stack

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

High-Impact Reserves

Increases damage by 12.1% [3%] to 25.6% [6%] as the Magazine drops from 50% of its base capacity to empty. The buff in PVE ranges between 10.3% and 22.9% instead on Fusion Rifles and Aggressive Frame Linear Fusion Rifles. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.

Frenzy

After being in Combat for 12 seconds: Grants 15% increased damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload Speed for 7.2 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed. Dealing and receiving damage refreshes the buff duration. For Frenzy, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.

One for All

Scoring Weapon Hits against 3 Separate Enemies within 3 seconds of each grants 35% increased damage for 10 seconds. Does not require Direct Hits. Buff duration cannot be refreshed.

High Ground

Scoring a Kill grants 1 [2] Stacks of 'High Ground' for 7 seconds. Maximum of 3 Stacks. Weapon damage increases at 1|2|3 Stacks: 10% [5%] | 17.5% [10%] | 25% [15%] While you are not airborne: Damaging targets that are 2 meters [5 for Primary weapons] lower in elevation than the ground you stand on immediately grants all 3 Stacks [Primary weapons only grant 1 Stack] of the buff. The damage increase is applied to the shot triggering the perk as well. The reference point of enemies' elevation is generally their lowest point.

Perpetual Motion

While moving at a minimum of 2 meters per second: Grants a Stack of 'Perpetual Motion' after 2 seconds and a second Stack after 10 seconds. Each Stack provides 10 Stability, 10 Handling, and 10 Reload Speed. All Stacks are removed if movement speed is below 2 m/s for 0.5 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed.

Air Trigger

Passively grants 20 Ammo Generation Stat. (Equivalent of 1 Ammo Generation Armor Mod) Being Airborne grants the following benefits: • 30 Reload Speed • 0.8x Reload Duration Multiplier • 15?% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 20?% decreased Auto Aim Cone Size

Pugilist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Melee Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Dealing Melee Damage grants 35 Handling for 3 seconds. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Swashbuckler

Weapon Kills grant a Stack of 'Swashbuckler' for 4.5 seconds. Maximum of 5 Stacks. (Glaive) Melee Kills grant all 5 Stacks instantly. Damage increase at 1|2|3|4|5 Stacks: 6.7% | 13.3% | 20% | 26.6% | 33.3% Stowing the weapon removes the buff.

Eye of the Storm

Grants a scaling buff to Handling and Accuracy as your Shield Health drops below 40 and reaches maximum strength at 0 Shield HP. Buff at maximum strength grants: • 30 Handling • 40% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 17% decreased Accuracy Cone Growth The buff linearly scales from 0% at 80 Shield HP to 100% at 0 Shield HP (Critical Health). It initially triggers as you drop to 40 Shield HP — giving you 50% of the maximum buff. However, as you regenerate your Shield Health, the buff will still remain until you reach 80 Shield HP where the benefits scale down to zero.

Focused Fury

Scoring 35% of the Base Magazine Capacity as Precision Hits grants 25% increased damage for 11 seconds. Stowing or Reloading the weapon resets the Precision Hit counter. The buff remains active while stowed. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.
