pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller / M+KB): "Slideshot on a rocket is certainly interesting. I wouldn’t recommend it as a meta choice but more of a novelty. Is it niche? For sure. Will you pick up ammo, and be able to slide to reload back to back shots? Not outside of Mayhem. Would it be cool? I think this gun speaks for itself." Recommended MW: Velocity.

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 934 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/0M24D3moUjRCXj0AtIsCCx?si=208c6d31bdb7453e) with @Saint_Kabr and @ImpetusAlways. First-choice PvE pick for burst damage against Major or Boss spec enemies in end-game content. As an aggressive RL, Crux Termination IV is in the highest damage category of rocket launchers, along with adaptive-frames, and has the highest velocity in its peer group to boot. You can look on the low blast radius as an advantage for boss fights, as you can get a bit closer without being killing yourself in the explosion. There's no Field Prep option, so you start off with 1 in the mag and 7 reserves, with one more rocket for each chest ammo reserve mod. Go for the highest velocity you can with the barrel perk and then, for boss damage, Impact Casing is always the best option. In the first trait column, you could look at Envious Assassin - up to three in the tube after 11 kills with other weapons. Alternatively Reconstruction passively provides 2 in the tube over the course of 8s, or Clown Cartridge does the same on a manual reload. For major or boss damage, Explosive Light provides up to 6 shots with +25% damage. Recommended MW: Velocity, with a damage boosting (Major, Boss or Taken Spec) mod.|tags: PvE, PvE-Boss, PvE-MajorSpec, PvE-BossSpec, PvE-EndGame, PvE-God, M+KB, Controller

First-choice PvE pick for burst damage against Majors or sustained damage against Boss spec enemies in end-game content. With one eye on Bipod as the second column trait, as there's no Field Prep option, you'll start off with 2 in the mag and 12 reserves, with one more rocket for each chest ammo reserve mod. Go for the highest velocity you can with the barrel perk and then, for boss damage, Impact Casing is always the best option. In the first trait column, you could look at Envious Assassin - up to five in the tube after 11 kills with other weapons. Alternatively Reconstruction passively provides 4 in the tube at the rate of one every 4s, or Clown Cartridge provides 3 or 4 after a manual reload. For burst and sustained Boss damage, Bipod just about breaks even with 25% less damage and slower reloads, but faster firing and more reserve ammo. Recommended MW: Reload Speed or Velocity, with a damage boosting (Major, Boss or Taken Spec) mod.|tags: PvE, PvE-Boss, PvE-MajorSpec, PvE-BossSpec, PvE-EndGame, PvE-God, M+KB, Controller

pandapaxxy (PvE / Controller / M+KB): "Crux Termination IV is an incredibly strong weapon this season. Not only does it get access to one of the best damage perks but also some of the best mag extending perks. Explosive Light and your choice of Reconstruction, Envious Assassin, or even Clown Cartridge are all great within their own right. Impact Casing is nice for additional damage, but it isn’t extremely mandatory." Recommended MW: Velocity.

What these Crux Termination IV perks do

Envious Assassin

Upon readying the weapon after scoring Kills with your other Weapons: Refills and/or overfills the Magazine from reserves based on the amount of Weapon Kills scored. Maximum total overfill amount is 200% of the Magazine Capacity. Each activation can only load up to 100% of the Magazine Capacity into the magazine. Loaded ammo per Kill by ammo type (rounds up): • Primary Weapons: 10% of Magazine Capacity • Special and Power Weapons: 20%

Explosive Light

Orb of Power pickups (even while the weapon is stowed) grant 1 Stack of Explosive Light. Maximum of 6 Stacks. Firing the weapon comsumes 1 Stack per Shot, granting increased damage and 100 Blast Radius. Grenade Launchers: 60% increased Explosive damage. Rocket Launchers: 25% increased Impact and Explosive damage. (Does not affect Wolfpack Rounds)

Impact Casing

Increases Impact damage by 10%, resulting in a 2.2% total damage increase (not accounting for other damage perks). High-Impact Rocket Launchers only receive a 1.03% total damage increase.

Reconstruction

Every 6 seconds while not firing the weapon: Loads 25% of the Magazine Capacity (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Can overfill the Magazine up to double the normal capacity. Works even while stowed.

Clown Cartridge

Reloading randomly overfills the Magazine from reserves by 10% to 50% of the base Magazine Capacity (rounded up). Works out to a 30% overfill on average.

Bipod

Increases Magazine Capacity by 1 and Total Reserve Size by 5. Decreases Firing Delay by 25%. Decreases Blast Radius by 30, Reload Speed by 20, and damage by 25% (also applies to Wolfpack Rounds and Cluster Bombs).

Slideshot

Sliding refills 15% of the Magazine (rounded up) and grants 20 Range and Stability for your next shot (of the burst) within 2.5 seconds. 0.3 second cooldown after activation but can activate multiple times during a slide. Buff is removed on stow.

Demolitionist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Grenade Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Using your Grenade Ability refills the Magazine with a 3 second cooldown. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Tracking Module

While Aiming Down Sights and targeting an Enemy: Fired Rockets track the targeted enemy. Diminshed effectiveness in PVP. Tracking persists for 1 second once no longer aiming at the enemy.
