Inspired by @Saint_Kabr and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-Boss PvE-BurstDamage PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for burst DPS against a single orange or yellow-bar target, such as a Bane, Elite, Champion or Miniboss in activities rated Normal, Hard or Very Hard difficulty. Mint Retrograde is a Micro-Missile pulse rifle which as a subfamily which as a subfamily are currently rated S-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic Endgame Analysis spreadsheet in https://www.destiny2.science/ providing "game-warping levels of add clear, nearly 2x damage per brick vs. special ammo HC, forgiving crit multi". The frame intrinsic offers built in Anti-Unstoppable and micro-missile projectiles that track locked-on targets as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are decent by comparison with its peers - you can see them at https://destiny.report/w/3285784871/mint-retrograde and hopefully https://d2foundry.gg/w/3285784871 will show how weapon stats impact in-game performance when the site is back up and running. Look for a barrel perk that improves Handling, and then with the magazine perk go for something that helps improve magazine size or reload. For burst damage against beefier enemies, in the first trait perk column Field Prep bumps the very low Ammo Generation stat by +30 and grants +50 Reload Speed with a ×0.8 animation scalar to both reload and ready/stow when crouched (+40 Ammo Generation and +55 Reload Speed when enhanced) or Hatchling spawns a Strand Threadling on a crit kill or three crit hits within 3s of each other for additional damage. For burst damage, you need a second column trait perk that doesn't require too much prep - Frenzy, after being in combat for 12s - that's dealing or taking damage - boosts Handling and Reload Speed by +100 and boosts damage by ×1.15 for a refreshable 7.2s or, for Prismatic builds, Elemental Honing grants an escalating stack of damage up to ×1.35 for 20s (23s when enhanced) for each elemental damage type inflicted, which can be refreshed with a new damage type until you've run through all 5. If you're lucky you'll drop one with the Accelerated Assault origin trait which passively refills 10% of the magazine, and boosts damage by ×1.05 for getting 3 hits within a 1.6s window, but the Problem Solver Origin Trait is also very good for PvE when facing orange and yellow bars - 11 hits (which, from Mint Retrograde, can be either impact or explosive damage, so two 3-round bursts is 12 hits) will proc to exhaust them and reduce damage output to ×0.75 for 5s and grant +50 to Reload Speed and Handling for 10s. There's also Vanguard Vindication which provides up to ×3 stacks that reduces incoming damage to max ×0.94 for a refreshable 10s (12.5s when enhanced), on kills within 20s of using a class ability. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds.|tags:PvE PvE-Boss PvE-BurstDamage PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller

What these Mint Retrograde perks do

Rewind Rounds

Upon emptying the Magazine: Refills 60% of the number of Hits landed (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Hits are counted from either your last reload or the last time the perk was triggered. Does not require Direct Hits. Requires firing 28.75% of the Magazine Capacity for the refill to activate. Cannot load the Magazine beyond its base capacity. Hits after triggering a refill do not count while the Rewind Rounds buff is active (1? second). Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifle behavior: • Each individual bolt in the burst counts as a Hit • Refill amount is uniquely 14% of the number of Hits rounded up (numbers are subject to change once we get more data points)

Frenzy

After being in Combat for 12 seconds: Grants 15% increased damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload Speed for 7.2 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed. Dealing and receiving damage refreshes the buff duration. For Frenzy, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.

Cascade Point

After scoring a kill or multiple Precision Hits within 5 seconds of each with a different weapon: Readying this weapon reduces its Firing Delay for 2.5 seconds. Firing Delay is reduced by 30% on SMGs and Machine Guns and by 40% on other archetypes. Precision Hits requried per weapon archetype: • Bows, Linear Fusion/Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaive Projectiles: 2 hits • Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles: 4 hits • Auto/Trace/Pulse Rifles, SMGs, Machine Guns, Sidearms: 6 hits

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

Field Prep

Grants the following while Crouched: • 50 Reload Speed • 0.8x Reload Duration Multiplier • 0.8x Ready/Stow Duration Multiplier Passively grants 20 Ammo Generation stat. (50% more than 1 Ammo Generation armor mod)

Elemental Honing

Dealing Elemental Damage grants a stack of Elemental Honing for 20 seconds for each unique Element used. Maximum of 5 stacks. Gaining a stack refreshes the buff duration. Duration cannot be refreshed once at 5 stacks. Buff can be activated while stowed. Kinetic Damage does not trigger the buff. Weapon damage increase at 1|2|3|4|5 stacks by weapon damage type: • Kinetic: 10%|20%|30%|35%|40% • Elemental (PVE): 2.5%|10%|20%|30%|35% • Elemental (PVP): 1.25%|5%|20%|30%|35%

Hatchling

Scoring a Precision Kill or 3 kills within 3 seconds of each other spawns a Threadling at the target's location.

Bait and Switch

Dealing damage with a weapon starts a 7 second timer. Dealing additional weapon damage resets the timer to 7 seconds. Dealing damage with all 3 of your weapons without letting the timer run out grants you 'Bait and Switch' for 10 seconds, granting 30% increased damage. Timer is disabled while Bait and Switch is active, requiring a full activation sequence once the buff expires.

Envious Arsenal

Dealing any damage with both of your other weapons refills the magazine from reserves upon readying the weapon.
