Stay Frosty god roll & best perks

Stay Frosty has lost some solid PvE trait perks in its reprise so there's not as much to grind for in 2024-25. At base the stats are a little sub-par - 38 Range equates to 32.05m when ADS and 18.85m hipfire, 67 Handling is a 0.33s ready, 0.33s ADS and 0.31s stow time, and 56Reload Speed is a 1.78s reload. The Lightweight frame provides +20 to mobility and ×1.0625 movement speed. On M+KB you should push out range a bit with the barrel perk and then you can touch on reload or push the range out further with the magazine perk. In the first trait perk column, Enlightened Action, which provides some nice reload speed and handling boosts is the best support perk available. If you've not already got a Stasis pulse rifle with Headstone, this can provide you with an option - if you have, then you can pass. The Dawning Surprise origin trait is pretty potent for PvE - 6 Minor add rapid kills drops a "gift" for your fireteam which on pickup grants +20% energy to all your abilities, restores 22HP and starts health regeneration. Panda (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "Stay Frosty has always been a bit of an interesting weapon. Previously competing with Nightshade and variable scopes that have since been rendered less useful. Rimestealer and Headstone give Stay Frosty obvious stasis utility and if that's all you use it for, I think this gun will be happy." Recommended MW: Stability.

Stallion (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "I can just see this being fun, 450s are not the most work horsiest of work horses (I should know) in PvP, so it felt like I should go for the fun factor. And the fact is, more stasis shenanigans can be fun. The self sustaining nature means you can get frost armour while remaining class agnostic, and with headstone being an extension of the gun, any explosions should hypothetically feed those stacks." Recommended MW: Reload Speed.
