Eager Edge will be great for most players, but if you’re looking for maximum damage I would recommend Relentless Strikes for ammo back. Chain Reaction and Thresh are also great options with some of the fourth column perks. Bait and Switch will be the best for pure damage, but Cold Steel for Stasis synergy and helping with champions might be a great play." Recommended MW: Impact.

Obviously the Other Half is a “flex” as will an adept Slammer, but you and I both know you could have styled on one more player with Half-Truths." Recommended MW: Impact.

First-choice PvE pick for add clearing Minor Spec enemies in end-game content, particularly with a Stasis subclass. If you find a roll you like, keep for the ability to enhance perks when Final Shape arrives. The Slammer is our first vortex frame Stasis sword, with the same stats as its peers. Boost the damage with the blade perk, and then Swordmaster's Guard adds a little bit of everything useful. For add clearing, the trait perk combination, that's unique to The Slammer, of Chain Reaction and Cold Steel spreads slow stacks (which you can improve with Stasis subclass fragments) with the add kill explosions and, when enhanced, Cold Steel also adds a useful 10 to the inventory stat for additional ammo reserves. You'll probably find more use for the Vanguard's Vindication origin trait, unless there's a champion mod around for swords that works with Stunning Recovery.
