pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): Recommended MW: Impact. Vortex Frame(20) Strand Sword Heavy Ammo. "Thin Precipice is much more of a multi kill weapon, but falls off because it’s a sword. If swords were more utilized in content it could be really fun with Chain Reaction for explosions, or your choice of Golden Tricorn or Collective Action for some really solid damage. You could potentially set up Thin Precipice for huge damage with surge mods and two stacks of Golden Tricorn to melt champions or even bosses. It’s niche and would require more set up than your average boss killing weapon, but it would be crazy to see/"

pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller): Recommended MW: Impact. Vortex Frame(20) Strand Sword Heavy Ammo. "It’s going to be a similar story to Just In Case for PvP. Unfortunately you have to make a choice this time. Either Valiant Charge or Tireless Blade. Personally I think Tireless is the best choice but I know people like harnessing their inner Sanic. Chain Reaction could potentially net you some double kills. Zoom in, get a double or more? I can see the montage now."

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 61 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/4XT0gPkoVSh3cM6gMtSupq?si=18db495353ca49ad) with @ImpetusAlways, @Saint_Kabr and @CourtProjects. First-choice PvE pick for burst damage to Majors in end-game content. Shapeable. Thin Precipice is the first Strand sword, and is the fan-favourite vortex (spin-to-win) frame to boot. As with all swords, Jagged Edge is the usual choice for the blade for its increased damage and Swordmaster's Guard to reduce the time it takes for your heavy attack to charge, although you might want to look at Burst Guard or Heavy Guard to help tank damage. Against a Major that's just about to stomp, bring up your block to us Flash Counter in the first trait column as the support park, to suppress and weaken them for 4s, and then you'll have a couple of seconds with a 50% damage bonus for your heavy spin attack, with Counterattack in the second column as the signature perk. Recommended MW: Impact, with a damage-boosting (Major or Taken Spec) or Backup Mag mod.|tags: PvE, PvE-Boss, PvE-MajorSpec, PvE-God, PvE-EndGame, M+KB, Controller

First-choice PvE pick for Minor add-clearing in end-game content. Shapeable. Thin Precipice is the first Strand sword, and is the fan-favourite vortex (spin-to-win) frame to boot. As with all swords, Jagged Edge is the usual choice for the blade for its increased damage. To pair with your traits, you'll want to go with heavy guard, mainly to slow your charge time. The play here is to use unpowered heavy attacks, which do a bit less damage but only cost 1 ammo, to proc Tireless Blade in the first trait column as the support perk and refund ammo for every other kill - if you're lucky you can return more ammo than you use. In the second column as the signature perk, Golden Tricorn's first stack will easily make up the reduced damage after the first kill, or Chain Reaction's AoE damage should mean you can wade into crowds of adds, while never running out of ammo. Recommended MW: Impact, with a damage-boosting (Minor or Taken Spec) or Backup Mag mod.|tags: PvE, PvE-MinorSpec, PvE-God, PvE-EndGame, M+KB, Controller

What these Thin Precipice perks do

Golden Tricorn

While the perk's buff isn't active, Weapon Kills grant 'Golden Tricorn x1' for 7 seconds, increasing weapon damage by 15%. Additional Kills refresh the buff duration. While Golden Tricorn x1 or x2 is active: Grenade or Elemental Melee Kills matching the element of the Weapon grant Golden Tricorn x2 for 10 seconds, increasing weapon damage by 50%. Clarity tooltip editor's note: We're replacing the previous Powered Melee term with Elemental Melee. The former is now exclusively used for perks that require the consumption of a Melee Ability Charge. This note is temporary and will be removed in the future.

Duelist's Trance

Sword Kills grant 60 Guard Resistance, Guard Endurance, and (Guard) Charge Rate. Buff is removed on stow.

Relentless Strikes

Scoring 3 Powered Hits within 2? seconds of each refunds 1 ammo. Wolfpack Round Hits do not count.

Unrelenting

Starts Health Regeneration and restores 65 HP upon reaching 100% Activation Progress with Weapon Kills within 5 seconds of each. Activation Progress by Enemy Rank: • Minor Combatants: 34% • Players: 67% • Elites, Minibosses, and Bosses: 100%

Collective Action

Elemental Pickup Interactions grant 30% [10%] increased damage for a variable duration based on the pickup. Can be activated while stowed. Ionic Traces, Stasis Shards, and Tangle Detonations grant the buff for 4 seconds. Throwing a held Tangle grants 4 additional seconds. Firesprites and Void Breaches grant the buff for 8 seconds. Additional Pickups can extend the duration up to the maximum of 16 seconds. Elemental Pickup Interactions: • Destroying a Tangle (or Elemental Orbs), either by shooting or throwing. • Collecting Firesprites, Ionic Traces, Stasis Shards, or Void Breaches Does not trigger with Stasis Shards generated from Facet of Awakening or Facet of Command.

Chain Reaction

Weapon Kills trigger an elemental explosion matching the weapon's element. Damage and radius of the explosions varies based on the weapon's ammo type: • Special Weapons: Up to 67.2 [44.8] damage in a 2.4 meter radius • Power Weapons: Up to 109.2 [72.8] damage in a 3 meter radius

Valiant Charge

Taking any damage while Guarding increases Lunge Distance by 80% for the next swing within 1 second. Guarding while receiving Healing Effects (including healing over time from Restoration) from allies also activates the perk.

Tireless Blade

Your first Powered Sword Kill after (re)spawning refunds 1 Ammo. Afterward, every other Powered Sword Kill also refunds 1 Ammo.

Hatchling

Scoring a Precision Kill or 3 kills within 3 seconds of each other spawns a Threadling at the target's location.

Flash Counter

Taking damage while Guarding emits a blast in a wide, 8? meter long wide cone in front of you. The blast disorients enemies hit by it for 5 seconds and deals weapon-matching elemental damage. The damage scales up from 75 [14] damage at point-blank range to the maximum of 110 [45] damage after ? meters. The strength of the disorientation against Players similarly also scales up with distance. 2.5 second cooldown between activations.

Counterattack

Upon receiving damage within 0.5 seconds of starting to Guard: Grants 50% increased damage for 2 seconds.
