pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): Recommended MW: Draw Time. Lightweight Frame(580) Solar Combat Bow Primary Ammo. "Tyranny of Heaven used to be the only solar bow in the game, and its sights are really odd. In its current version you can certainly get some good mileage out of the updated perks, only if you can agree with the wonky sights. Archer’s Tempo will get you the best reload / knock time, and Golden Tricorn is simply the best damage perk in the game. On solar that job gets even easier with the plethora of amazing abilities. Collective action will have slightly less uptime but could still be considered one of the better perks. Incandescent does give you some great AoE but I find that not bumping up the bow’s innate damage might feel a bit lackluster in higher end activities."

pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller): Recommended MW: Draw Time. Lightweight Frame(580) Solar Combat Bow Primary Ammo. "In PvP please just don’t use bows. The only way to one shot a guardian in PvP is by stacking 3 surge mods with Swashbuckler, or getting Golden Tricorn 2x going. While it is possible, and arguably sustainable within PvP it is incredibly niche. You can go a tried and true route with Snapshot Sights and any of the good third column perks but I would just use a precision frame instead."

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 69 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/3ZIEMYfNzOu5TyLlLhU7hH?si=90ffff909a2e40f2) with @Saint_Kabr and @CourtProjects - @ImpetusAlways is on holiday. First-choice PvE pick for minor add-clear in end-game activities, particularly for solar synergy. Shapeable. Okay, it's a Lightweight bow, which isn't ideal but on the bright side, you do get the +20 mobility and 6.25% movement speed increase, and this is the only solar example available. The stats aren't great either but, as a Raid weapon, this can still roll with some spicy trait combinations. As usual, we'll use the combination of Elastic String in the bowstring slot, and Straight Fletching as the arrow to drop the draw time and recover the lost accuracy (it's already a pretty awful 27, so get used to using this closer up than a precision bow). Successful Warm-Up is a rare addition to the first trait column as a support perk option - proccing it will drop the draw time to 330ms for 6s, up to a maximum of 20s. In the second slot, Golden Tricorn for the flat 15% damage boost after a kill, jumping to 50% with a solar ability kill, or Incandescent for scorch and ignite - even better with solar 3.0 verbs if you're running a matching subclass with access to useful fragments. If you're a grenade-heavy player, the Explosive Pact origin trait adds in some nice gunfeel boosts too. Recommended MW: Draw Time, with a damage-boosting (Minor or Taken Spec) mod.|tags: PvE, PvE-MinorSpec, PvE-God, PvE-EndGame, M+KB, Controller

What these Tyranny of Heaven perks do

Archer's Tempo

Precision Hits decrease Draw Time by 25% for 3 seconds. Buff is removed on stow.

Golden Tricorn

While the perk's buff isn't active, Weapon Kills grant 'Golden Tricorn x1' for 7 seconds, increasing weapon damage by 15%. Additional Kills refresh the buff duration. While Golden Tricorn x1 or x2 is active: Grenade or Elemental Melee Kills matching the element of the Weapon grant Golden Tricorn x2 for 10 seconds, increasing weapon damage by 50%. Clarity tooltip editor's note: We're replacing the previous Powered Melee term with Elemental Melee. The former is now exclusively used for perks that require the consumption of a Melee Ability Charge. This note is temporary and will be removed in the future.

Explosive Head

Splits off 50% of the Bow's bodyshot damage into an Explosive Payload that detonates in a 3 meter radius on impact. The Payload deals 30% increased damage in PvE and staggers PvE Combatants more. Payload detonation time after hitting a target or surface depends on the distance. The remaining Impact damage portion receives an increased Crit Multiplier to compensate for the Payload not benefitting from crits. [PvE] Total damage is increased by ~15% of the weapon's bodyshot damage. On crits, the overall increase is 10.33% for Precision Bows and 9.69% for Lightweight Bows. [PvP] Total damage remains roughly the same but can vary by 1-2% in either direction for crits.

Dragonfly

Precision Kills cause targets to explode, dealing up to 123.89 [95.3] weapon-matching elemental damage in a 4.5-meter radius.

Collective Action

Elemental Pickup Interactions grant 30% [10%] increased damage for a variable duration based on the pickup. Can be activated while stowed. Ionic Traces, Stasis Shards, and Tangle Detonations grant the buff for 4 seconds. Throwing a held Tangle grants 4 additional seconds. Firesprites and Void Breaches grant the buff for 8 seconds. Additional Pickups can extend the duration up to the maximum of 16 seconds. Elemental Pickup Interactions: • Destroying a Tangle (or Elemental Orbs), either by shooting or throwing. • Collecting Firesprites, Ionic Traces, Stasis Shards, or Void Breaches Does not trigger with Stasis Shards generated from Facet of Awakening or Facet of Command.

Incandescent

Weapon Kills trigger a Solar explosion that applies 30 Scorch Stacks (40 with Ember of Ashes) and deals up to 30 damage to enemies within 4 meters of the target. Killing Elite or higher tier Combatants and Players increases the radius to 8 meters and applies 10 more Scorch Stacks. Scorch damage can be increased through Weapon Damage Buffs.

Moving Target

Grants the following while Aiming Down Sights (ADS): • 10 Aim Assist • 10% decreased ADS Movement Speed Penalty

Swashbuckler

Weapon Kills grant a Stack of 'Swashbuckler' for 4.5 seconds. Maximum of 5 Stacks. (Glaive) Melee Kills grant all 5 Stacks instantly. Damage increase at 1|2|3|4|5 Stacks: 6.7% | 13.3% | 20% | 26.6% | 33.3% Stowing the weapon removes the buff.

Successful Warm-Up

Weapon Kills decrease Charge/Draw Time by 37.5% for 6 seconds. Kills while the perk is active add 4 seconds to the duration up to a maximum of 20 seconds. Buff is removed on stow.
