Inspired by @PodvsEnemies episode 152 from 2 September 2025 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/5y3KdXwOHAdEiERuX1NtGR?si=87414268eb9642d6) with @Saint_Kabr, @CourtProjects and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-Boss PvE-BossSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller): First choice PvE roll for shorter Boss damage phases in both general at-level or better, and end-game underleveled content. Unwavering Duty is an adaptive frame, which is unfortunately towards the bottom of the LMG subfamily (3rd out of 4) for damage output. At base, by comparison with its peers, the stats are decent, and are improved further at Tier 4/5 when barrel and mag perks are enhanced - d2foundry.gg calculates that 58 Range equates to 29.79m hipfire and 47.67m ADS before damage dropoff, 60 Stability is ×1.1000 flinch resist, 50 Handling is a 0.38s ready, 0.40s ADS and 0.35s stow speed and 64 Reload Speed is a 4.54s reload. According to MossyMax's spreadsheet on destiny.science, Magazine Size is 55 (max 75) and total ammo is 375 (max 379). With the barrel perk, control the recoil to make crits easier, while maximise mag size with the magazine perk. For a Boss DPS roll, you'll need something that makes the mag as big as possible - Fourth Time's the Charm for 2 shots loaded from reserves after 4 crits within 2s (3s when enhanced) of each other, Envious Assassin to overflow the magazine to ×3 capacity if you can get 20 kills in an add phase, or Auto-Loading Holster to refill the magazine after stowing for 3.5s (3.3s enhanced). For damage, in the second column, Bait and Switch boosts damage by ×1.3 for 10s (11s enhanced) for doing damage with your other two weapons. The Fleet Footed Origin Trait's additional Airborne Effectiveness and Movement Speed are more of a PvP perk. Roar of Battle's +10 Handling and Stability is better, but unspectacular, or there's Suros Synergy which procs on a reload to provide +40 Handling and ×1.2 Flinch Resistance for 6s. Recommended MW: Handling or Stability, with your preferred choice of mod/enhanced mod to boost mag size, weapon stats, ammo regeneration, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.|tags:PvE PvE-Boss PvE-BossSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller

With the barrel perk, control the recoil to make crits easier, while maximise mag size with the magazine perk. If you want to mow through Minor add mobs, you can use Incandescent in the first trait perk column, which is great for crowd control, spreading +30 Scorch stacks to adds within 4m on a Minor add kill (+45 stacks within 8m for orange and yellow bars). All of the scorch stacks are increased by ×1.5 with Ember of Ashes. Alternatively, Subsistence reloads 10% of the magazine (20% enhanced) on kills. Both work well with Killing Tally which boosts damage by up to ×1.3 after 3 kills (with scorch and ignition kills from Incandescent counting, as weapon kills) until you stow or reload. With the barrel perk, control the recoil to make crits easier, while maximise mag size with the magazine perk. If you want to watch the world burn and double down on solar perks, you can combine Incandescent, great for crowd control, spreading +30 Scorch stacks to adds within 4m on a Minor add kill (+45 stacks within 8m for orange and yellow bars), with Burning Ambition in the second trait perk column. This works better to build ignitions on tougher targets if you have a solar ability to apply scorch initially, otherwise it'll take 18 hits (16 when enhanced) with +20 added on each additional hit to build towards an ignition. All of the scorch stacks are increased by ×1.5 with Ember of Ashes. The Fleet Footed Origin Trait's additional Airborne Effectiveness and Movement Speed are more of a PvP perk. If you want to mow through Minor add mobs, you can use Subsistence to reload 10% of the magazine (20% enhanced) on kills. While Onslaught in the second column doesn't increase total damage, it does increase your DPS as you ramp up the stacks for 4.5s per kill up to 3 stacks, to increase RPM from 450 to around 714. It also increases Reload Speed by +35, although you'll have Subsistence proccing constantly so you should be able to shoot until the mag's empty. The Fleet Footed Origin Trait's additional Airborne Effectiveness and Movement Speed are more of a PvP perk. What these Unwavering Duty perks do

Fourth Time's the Charm

Scoring 4 Precision Hits within 2 seconds of each refills 2 Ammo into the Magazine from thin air. Cannot load the Magazine beyond its base capacity. Precision Hit counter persists through stow.

Bait and Switch

Dealing damage with a weapon starts a 7 second timer. Dealing additional weapon damage resets the timer to 7 seconds. Dealing damage with all 3 of your weapons without letting the timer run out grants you 'Bait and Switch' for 10 seconds, granting 30% increased damage. Timer is disabled while Bait and Switch is active, requiring a full activation sequence once the buff expires.

Envious Assassin

Upon readying the weapon after scoring Kills with your other Weapons: Refills and/or overfills the Magazine from reserves based on the amount of Weapon Kills scored. Maximum total overfill amount is 200% of the Magazine Capacity. Each activation can only load up to 100% of the Magazine Capacity into the magazine. Loaded ammo per Kill by ammo type (rounds up): • Primary Weapons: 10% of Magazine Capacity • Special and Power Weapons: 20%

Auto-Loading Holster

Refills stowed weapon from reserves after 3.5 seconds of it being stowed.

Burning Ambition

Direct Hits against Scorched Enemies apply additional Scorch on a 0.5 second cooldown: • Primary Weapons apply 10 [4] additional Scorch per Direct Hit (15 [9?] with Ember of Ashes) • Special and Power Weapons apply 20 additional Scorch (30 with Ember of Ashes) Scoring multiple Direct Hits within 3? seconds of each causes the next Direct Hit to Scorch the target. Hit counter persists through stow. Number of Direct Hits required by weapon type: • Bows: 2 • Swords: 3 • Other Weapons: 55% of the base magazine size Scorch applied by Burning Ambition to Unscorched targets counts as Weapon Damage. Ember of Ashes increases the amount of Scorch applied by 50%.

Incandescent

Weapon Kills trigger a Solar explosion that applies 30 Scorch Stacks (40 with Ember of Ashes) and deals up to 30 damage to enemies within 4 meters of the target. Killing Elite or higher tier Combatants and Players increases the radius to 8 meters and applies 10 more Scorch Stacks. Scorch damage can be increased through Weapon Damage Buffs.

Killing Tally

Weapon Kills grant a Stack of Killing Tally. Maximum of 3 Stacks. Stowing or reloading the weapon removes all Stacks. Damage increase at 1|2|3 Stacks: • PVE: 10% | 20% | 30% • PVP: 5% | 10% | 15%

Subsistence

Weapon Kills refill 10% of the magazine (rounded up) from reserves. Submachine Gun and Auto Rifle Kills refill 17% of the magazine.

Onslaught

Weapon Kills grant a Stack of 'Onslaught' for 4.5 seconds. Maximum of 3 Stacks. Benefits at 1|2|3 Stacks of Onslaught: • 16.7% | 28.6% | 37.5% decreased Firing Delay • 15 | 25 | 35 Reload Speed

Rampage

Weapon Kills grant a Stack of Rampage. Maximum of 3 Stacks. Stacks expire one at a time every 4.5 seconds. Grants a 10%|21%|33.1% damage increase at 1|2|3 Stacks. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.
