Inspired by @CourtProjects, @Saint_Kabr and and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-Utility PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for single-target damage against tougher enemies in both general at-level or better, and end-game underleveled content, particularly for arc builds. Voltaic Shade is a Balanced Heat frame scout rifle, with a rapid-fire firing rate, which are rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic having a noticeably large "mag" and good damage profile for a scout. The heat frame is like an extra perk set, first providing reduced heat generation, significantly increasing the number of shots before overheating, and providing a pseudo-Reconstruction, automatically "refilling" as the weapon loses heat when not being used. Additionally, there's an intrinsic ×1.15 damage boost against orange and yellow bars and vehicles, plus a ×2 vent rate if you manually reload when the heat bar is at >87.5% of maximum heat to proc Perfect Vent, as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are decent by comparison with other rapid-fire scouts - see https://d2foundry.gg/w/71057630 for how the weapon stats impact in-game performance, once the formulas have been worked out. Something that helps control recoil or Handling is very helpful with the barrel perk. In the heatsink perk, look for something that reduces heat generation, or improves cooling efficiency or vent speed. For an "all the arc damage perks" roll that works in mixed crowds of red, orange and yellow bars to synergise with arc builds, you can look for Jolting Feedback in the first trait perk column which applies Jolt after 7 hits (6 when enhanced and 4 when amplified) to tougher enemies who can survive the weapon damage, triggering chain lightning on further hits for both target and AoE damage. In the second column, Voltshot applies Jolt to the next target you hit within 7s (8s when enhanced), after a reload within 5.3s of a kill, for additional damage to the target on further hits plus AoE chain lightning damage on nearby enemies or Rolling Storm generates a stack of Bolt Charge (2 when Amplified) on a kill, to trigger a lightning bolt at ×10 stacks for both target and AoE damage. The Origin Trait, Imperial Allegiance grants a stack for each ally in 15m, up to ×3, to boost both the cooling rate and damage when heat is >50% by up to a max of ×1.105, so is ideal for working in a fireteam. If you're interested, this is modelled on the EL-16HFE blaster rifle, the Heavy Field Edition of the smaller EL-16 blaster rifle used by the New Republic and then by the Resistance Army during the Cold War against the First Order. Recommended MW: Cooling Efficiency, with a Heat Generated mod or your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.|tags:PvE PvE-Utility PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller

For a roll to synergise with arc builds, you can look for Trickle Charge in the first trait perk column which refills 10% of the magazine on receiving a Bolt Charge stack and then when you proc Bolt Charge at 10 stacks, instantly discharge 100% weapon heat and refill the magazine. In the second column, Rolling Storm is a natural partner, generating a stack of Bolt Charge (2 when Amplified) on a kill, to trigger a lightning bolt at ×10 stacks for both target and AoE damage. Alternatively, Voltshot applies Jolt to the next target you hit within 7s (8s when enhanced), after a reload within 5.3s of a kill, for additional damage to the target on further hits plus AoE chain lightning damage on nearby enemies. 3 wishlist rolls

Inspired by https://www.youtube.com/@cammycakesgaming (PvP PvP-Duel PvP-God M+KB Controller): God-roll PvP for 6s. Voltaic Shade is, at time of writing, an A-Tier primary option for larger maps. It's a Heat weapon - which means you get an ersatz Reconstruction for free from the passive cooling - with a rapid-fire fire rate. The Balanced Heat frame provides a ×2 vent rate if you manually vent when weapon heat is >87.5%. The @hugowo_ spreadsheet at https://www.destiny2.science/, shows the TTK at base as 0.933s (4c1b) - increasing the weapons stat to 193 reduces the crit% to 3c2b. The stats are good compared to other rapid fire scouts. You can see the in-game effect of stat changes at https://d2foundry.gg/w/71057630 for yourself, once the formulas have been worked out. For the barrel perk, Arrowhead Brake helps with both Handling and Recoil Direction - if you're using Shrewd Survivor armour for the two-piece Reflex Action set bonus this boosts Handling and Accuracy. For the Battery Perk, the only real choice is Overclocked Heatsink which provides a ×1.02 damage boost which reduces the weapons stat you need for the 0.933s (3c2b) TTK to 152 and makes a 0.840s TTK (4c0b) possible at 165. In the first trait perk column, Delicate Tuning, works like a Heat weapon's mirror to Closing Time, boosting Range, Handling and Accuracy when a weapon's cold with the benefits reducing to half at 50% heat. In the second, with no investment in the weapons stat, Precision Instrument means you can hit the 0.840s TTK with 3 crits followed by either a body or crit shot, making this a rapid fire scout that can potentially challenge a Jade Rabbit at range. The Imperial Allegiance origin trait is situationally useful if you're near one, two or three teammates when heat is >50%, boosting both cooling efficiency and damage by up to ×1.105, but Accelerated Assault is probably better, proccing 10% cooling and ×1.05 damage when you hit 3 times with 1.2-4s between each hit. Recommended MW: Handling or Cooling Efficiency, with a Heat Generated mod/enhanced mod, or your choice depending on your play style.|tags:PvP PvP-Duel PvP-God M+KB Controller

What these Voltaic Shade perks do

Delicate Tuning

Grants linearly decreasing benefits as Weapon Heat increases from 0% to 50%: • 20 to 10 Range • ? to ? Handling • ? to ? decreased Accuracy Cone Growth

Precision Instrument

Direct Weapon Hits grant a stack of Precision Instrument for 1.25 seconds (2.1 seconds on weapons with a Draw/Charge Time). Maximum of 6 stacks. Reloading the weapon (except on Bows) or missing removes all stacks... usually. Heavy Burst Frame weapons can only gain 1 stack per burst. Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifles require 1.5? Hits for each stack (and missing sometimes does not remove your stacks on them). Precision damage increase at 1|2|... stacks: 4.17% | 8.33% | 12.5% | 16.67% | 20.83% | 25%

Overclocked Heatsink

Passively grants 2% increased damage and 10 decreased Cooling Efficiency stat.

Meganeura

Precision Hits grant one stack of Meganeura for 3.5 seconds. Maximum of 3 stacks. Precision Kills cause targets to explode, dealing 123.89 [95.3] | 173.6 [?] | 207.57 [?] weapon-matching elemental damage in a 7.5-meter radius at 1|2|3| stacks. Explosion has up to 50% damage falloff at the furthest point.

Jolting Feedback

Scoring multiple Direct Hits with the weapon within 3 seconds of each causes the next Direct Hit to apply Jolt. Being Amplified decreases the number of Hits required. Hits needed to activate normally | while Amplified: • Submachine Guns, Trace Rifles: 18 | 13 • Machine Guns: 16 | 11 • Auto Rifles: 15 | 11 • Pulse Rifles: 14 | 9 • Sidearms: 10 | 7 • Rocket Pulse Rifle: 8 | 5 • Scout Rifles, Hand Cannons: 7 | 6 • Swords: 6 | 4 • Glaives, Linear Fusion Rifles: 4 | 3 • Rocket Sidearm, Sniper Rifle?: 4 | 2 • Bows, Grenade Launchers: 3 | 2 • Shotguns, Aggressive Frame Fusion Rifle: 3|1

Voltshot

Finishing a reload within 5.3 seconds of a Weapon Kill grants Voltshot for 7 seconds. While Voltshot is active, your next Weapon Hit consumes the buff and applies Jolt to the target. Applied Jolt's damage (generally) does not count as Weapon Damage.

Rolling Storm

Weapon Kills grant 1 Stack of Bolt Charge. While Amplified, this is increased to 2 Stacks.

Frenzy

After being in Combat for 12 seconds: Grants 15% increased damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload Speed for 7.2 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed. Dealing and receiving damage refreshes the buff duration. For Frenzy, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.

Shoot to Loot

Weapon Hits against Orbs of Power collect them. If collecting ammo is possible: Weapon Hits against Ammo Bricks pick them up, trigger Ammo Pickup Effects, and refill all Weapons from reserves. Does not require direct hits.

Trickle Charge

Receiving Bolt Charge refills 10% of the magazine. Does not currently dissipate Heat for Heat Weapons. Discharging Bolt Charge refills 20% of the magazine. Dissipates 100% Heat on Heat Weapons. Works while stowed.

Rapid Hit

"Buffed Hits" grant 1 Stack of Rapid Hit for 2 seconds. Maximum of 5 Stacks. "Buffed Hits" refer to any "Yellow Number" Hits such as Precision Hits or Hits against debuffed targets. Benefits at 1|2|3|4|5 Stacks: • 2|12|14|18|25 Stability • 5|30|35|42|60 Reload Speed • 0.99x|0.96x|0.95x|0.945x|0.92x Reload Duration Multiplier

Keep Away

While no enemies are within 15 meters: Grants 10 Range, 30 Reload Speed, and decreases Accuracy Cone Growth by 5?%.
