Wilderflight is great, but being locked behind a dungeon means most players won’t even see it drop. Being a Vanguard reward allows more players to obtain it, and I love that as the double-fire is a very fun and interesting option within our ever-expanding arsenal. For PvE you’re looking for the tried and true Envious Assassin, this paired with Incandescent will clear rooms and deal some great damage against bosses. Unrelenting is a great option if you’re committing to using Wild Style as your main weapon, the extra healing plus synergy with Solar verbs will make you unkillable." Recommended MW: Blast Radius.

pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "Wild Style and by extension all double-fire grenade launchers have one limiting factor, and that is that it fires two shots at once. If your one grenade bounces away you lose half your damage. With Bungie’s architecture it happens more often than not. Disorienting Grenades will allow you to still blind even if one goes away, and High-Velocity Rounds will keep your arc tighter to make bounces less punishing (if you’re not purposefully bouncing shots)." Wild Style has returned with a refreshed perk pool and has gone from meh to must have. If you get Disorientating Grenades as the magazine perk, this automatically reduces blast radius to 0 in which case just use the barrel perk to improve velocity and handling. This mag perk disorients enemies up to boss-tier, helping manage firefights with both large groups and more difficult individual adds. As the first column trait perk, Reconstruction is just a better Auto-Loading Holster, overfilling to 2 in the magazine, or Envious Assassin needs a bit more setup but can overflow the mag to 3 shots. Then, Vorpal Weapon in the second column provides a reliable +15% damage. The Tex Balanced Stock origin trait is probably the most useful of the three, unless there's a GL artifact mod in which case use Stunning Recovery. Recommended MW: Handling or Velocity, with a Quick Access Sling mod.

What these Wild Style perks do

Reconstruction

Every 6 seconds while not firing the weapon: Loads 25% of the Magazine Capacity (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Can overfill the Magazine up to double the normal capacity. Works even while stowed.

Vorpal Weapon

Deals increased damage against Minibosses, Bosses, and Vehicles, as well as Players in their Super Ability. Damage increase by Ammo Type: • Primary Weapons: 20% [60%] • Special Weapons: 15% [20%] • Power Weapons: 10% [20%]

Disorienting Grenades

Passively grants -200 Blast Radius, 25% decreased damage, and 15% decreased detonation radius. Enemies within 6 meters of the explosion are disoriented for 4.5 seconds. Disorient radius cannot be increased using other perks. Champions and Bosses are unaffected by Disorient. (Disorient is effectively the equivalent of Arc Blind without any of the elemental synergies and anti-champion benefits) Players near the explosion briefly lose their HUD and have their screen distorted for up to ? seconds. Duration varies depending on the distance from the blast.

Envious Assassin

Upon readying the weapon after scoring Kills with your other Weapons: Refills and/or overfills the Magazine from reserves based on the amount of Weapon Kills scored. Maximum total overfill amount is 200% of the Magazine Capacity. Each activation can only load up to 100% of the Magazine Capacity into the magazine. Loaded ammo per Kill by ammo type (rounds up): • Primary Weapons: 10% of Magazine Capacity • Special and Power Weapons: 20%

Spike Grenades

Increases Grenade Impact damage: • 12.12% increase on Special Grenade Launchers • 12.5% increase on Power Grenade Launchers Due to the ratio of Detonation and Impact damage being tied to the Blast Radius stat on Grenade Launchers, a lower stat will provide a slightly higher overall damage increase.

Bait and Switch

Dealing damage with a weapon starts a 7 second timer. Dealing additional weapon damage resets the timer to 7 seconds. Dealing damage with all 3 of your weapons without letting the timer run out grants you 'Bait and Switch' for 10 seconds, granting 30% increased damage. Timer is disabled while Bait and Switch is active, requiring a full activation sequence once the buff expires.

Incandescent

Weapon Kills trigger a Solar explosion that applies 30 Scorch Stacks (40 with Ember of Ashes) and deals up to 30 damage to enemies within 4 meters of the target. Killing Elite or higher tier Combatants and Players increases the radius to 8 meters and applies 10 more Scorch Stacks. Scorch damage can be increased through Weapon Damage Buffs.

One for All

Scoring Weapon Hits against 3 Separate Enemies within 3 seconds of each grants 35% increased damage for 10 seconds. Does not require Direct Hits. Buff duration cannot be refreshed.

Surrounded

Being within 15 meters of 3 Enemies grants 40% increased damage. Buff lingers for 1.5 seconds once the condition is no longer met. Exceptions: • Swords only receive a 35% damage increase. • Grenade and Rocket Launchers receive a 35% Explosive Damage increase and a 40% Impact Damage increase. • Wolfpack Rounds receive a 35% Explosive Damage increase.

Unrelenting

Starts Health Regeneration and restores 65 HP upon reaching 100% Activation Progress with Weapon Kills within 5 seconds of each. Activation Progress by Enemy Rank: • Minor Combatants: 34% • Players: 67% • Elites, Minibosses, and Bosses: 100%

Danger Zone

Increases Blast Radius by ?% and decreased Self-Damage while within 15 meters of 3 enemies. Effect lingers for 3.5 seconds once no longer surrounded. Grenade Launchers: 40% decreased Self-Damage Rocket Launchers: 99.99% decreased Self-Damage and allows for rocket jumping

Keep Away

While no enemies are within 15 meters: Grants 10 Range, 30 Reload Speed, and decreases Accuracy Cone Growth by 5?%.

Collective Action

Elemental Pickup Interactions grant 30% [10%] increased damage for a variable duration based on the pickup. Can be activated while stowed. Ionic Traces, Stasis Shards, and Tangle Detonations grant the buff for 4 seconds. Throwing a held Tangle grants 4 additional seconds. Firesprites and Void Breaches grant the buff for 8 seconds. Additional Pickups can extend the duration up to the maximum of 16 seconds. Elemental Pickup Interactions: • Destroying a Tangle (or Elemental Orbs), either by shooting or throwing. • Collecting Firesprites, Ionic Traces, Stasis Shards, or Void Breaches Does not trigger with Stasis Shards generated from Facet of Awakening or Facet of Command.

Enlightened Action

Weapon Hits grant Stacks of Enlightened Action for 2 seconds. Maximum of 12 Stacks. Stat bonuses at 1|2|…|12 Stacks: 2|7|12|15|20|25|30|35|38|40|45|50 Handling and Reload Speed Stacks granted per hit by Weapon Type: • Hand Cannons: 3 Stacks • Bows: ? Stacks • Automatic Weapons: 1 Stack
