Constructed by @Adamsdown_Boy (PvE PvE-Boss PvE-SustainedDamage PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller): Backup PvE roll for sustained DPS against a single yellow-bar target in activities rated Normal, Hard or Very Hard difficulty. Willful Hamartia is an adaptive burst linear fusion rifle, which are rated D-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic being "worse DPS than even upper-middle special weapons and no access to ammo return perks". The frame intrinsic offers built in Anti-Barrier, fires a 3-round burst as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are good by comparison with its peers - you can see them at https://destiny.report/w/1952295804/willful-hamartia and hopefully https://d2foundry.gg/w/1952295804 will show how weapon stats impact in-game performance when the site is back up and running. The recoil direction is vertical and reasonably tight so you could improve recoil control or just look to boost Stability to help hit crits, or Handling if you can land your shots. As the battery perk, Accelerated Coils improves charge time by 40ms at the cost of ×0.98 base damage, or Enhanced Battery with Backup Mag in the battery perk slot gets you the maximum of 7 shots. To be honest, adaptive burst LFRs are a weak subfamily for boss damage but, if you insist, in the first trait perk column, Envious Assassin overflows the battery to up to ×3 capacity at 10% of mag size per kill with primary weapons and 20% with specials (12.5%/22.5% when enhanced) before readying, during add phases. For damage, in the second column Bait and Switch boosts damage by ×1.3 for 10s (11s when enhanced) for doing damage with your other two weapons, or Reservoir Burst provides a ×1.3 (×1.33 when enhanced) damage boost when the battery is at or above maximum base capacity and triggers an AoE explosion on a kill, as well as passively granting +30 to Battery Capacity - the equivalent of a Backup Mag mod. Alternatively, Precision Instrument grants up to ×6 stacks of escalating damage on repeated crit hits up to a max ×1.25 (×1.3 enhanced) for 1.25s or until you miss a crit, or Jolting Feedback applies Arc Jolt after 4 hits (3 enhanced or when amplified) to tougher enemies who can survive the weapon damage, triggering chain lightning on further hits for both target and AoE damage and useful for others on your fireteam using Aggregate Charge weapons. For a burst damage roll, the Roar of Battle origin trait is probably most useful, granting +10 Stability and Handling for 6s after dealing or taking damage every 0.5s or so for 2s. Against Elites, Champions and Minibosses, Wild Card provides the chance of Telesto-like "Experimental Submunitions" dropping on a kill - the number depends on the enemy tier - that last up to 10.5s and explode on contact or proximity to an enemy. The least useful for this roll is Fleet Footed, which stacks up to ×1 on hits and ×2 on kills to boost movement speed and Airborne Effectiveness for a refreshable 5s (6s enhanced). If you're interested, hamartia is an ancient Greek term meaning a fatal flaw, error in judgment, or "missing the mark" (originally used in archery) that brings about a hero's downfall in classical tragedy, so "Willful Hamartia" essentially translates to a deliberate fatal mistake or chosen tragic flaw. Instead of a tragic hero accidentally stumbling into their doom, it implies choosing the path of error with open eyes. Recommended MW: Charge Time, with a Charge Time or Backup Mag mod or your preferred choice to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds.|tags:PvE PvE-Boss PvE-SustainedDamage PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller
