Ultimately, this archetype has been overshadowed by Lightweights and Precisions in the Crucible." Recommended MW: Range or Handling.

Aggressive frame shotguns maybe aren't the optimum for damage, but A Sudden Death has a couple of trait perk combinations that make it worth considering. At base, by comparison with its peers, the stats aren't good - d2foundry.gg calculates that 24 Range equates to 4.48m before damage falloff, 26 Stability is ×1.1067 flinch resist at 100 Resilience, 24 Handling is 0.46s ready, 0.40s ADS and 0.49s stow speed, and 32 Reload Speed is a 0.86s per shell reload. Recoil Direction is 74, and Zoom is 12, and Magazine size is 4 (max 6). With 0/1/2/3 Reserves mods, total ammo is 21/23/25/26 (max 27). Use the barrel perk to improve Handling, or close up pellet spread a little. In the magazine perk slot, Assault Mag improves RPM to 60RPM, or Tactical Mag plus Backup Mag increases the mag size to maximum. The unique roll to chase for burst DPS is the double damage trait perk combination of One-Two Punch, for ×2 direct contact melee damage within 1.22s after landing all 12 pellets (10 when enhanced) on target and Trench Barrel for ×1.5 damage (and +30 Handling and Reload Speed) for 5s or three shots.
