pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "Acosmic is back and better than ever. Clown Cartridge and any of your favorite damage perks is going to be the roll to get. Impulse Amplifier is also good if you don't remember to reload before damage phases. Air Trigger can get you back to back mags with ease. I would say that Withering Gaze is not the perk to get. It's solid on special weapons and even though it's new it doesn't work well with the best in slot perk, Bait and Switch. If you can lead with Withering Gaze on another weapon you can swap to Acosmic for huge damage numbers." Recommended MW: Blast Radius.

pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "Over in PvP grenade launchers lost a lot of their shine with the health changes. 70 Blast Radius is the target to hit. Impulse Amplifier to boost up grenade Velocity. Withering Gaze with Proximity Grenades or High-Explosive Ordinance wouldn't be the worst combo as you won't be able to OHK and be able to swap to your primary or special for easy clean ups. Explosive Light is easy to get with orb generation through Reaper or Siphon mods. If you opt for general use you can go with Chain Reaction." Recommended MW: Blast Radius.

Adamsdown_Boy written v8.1.0.4 (PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE pick for Minor add control in general and end-game, underleveled, content. Void rapid-fire grenade launcher Acosmic returns with a couple of new tricks for a boss damage. The stats look decent out of the box. At base, 25 Handling translates to 0.48s ready speed, 0.45s ADS speed and 0.43 stow speed, and with 0/1/2/3 Reserve mods, you hold total ammo of 33/35/37/38 shots. If you want a heavy GL for add clearing (you do you, but don't think we all won't judge you silently for it), look for a barrel perk that boosts Velocity and/or Handling together with a magazine perk that boosts reload speed. For dealing with high-density add groups, in the first trait perk column Reverberation maximises blast radius after your first kill and then in the second, either Chain Reaction to create AoE detonations for additional damage, or Destabilizing Rounds spreads volatility, which you take advantage of with void or prismatic subclass fragments. If you're interested, Acosmic is named after one of the two Hindu aspects of god; to be acosmic is to deny the objective reality of the temporal world - transcendental in a world-negating sense (according to Merriam-Webster). The Search Party origin trait, gaining better ADS and strafe speed when on your own, might be useful when you're away from your fireteam, but think of it more as a useful added extra when it's procced, but don't overlook Nadir Focus for extra velocity. Recommended MW: Handling or Reload Speed depending on your preference, with a Backup Mag mod or, when masterworked, Synergy to generate Void Breaches or Stunloader when there's a matching artifact mod.|tags:PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller

For boss damage, Hard Launch as the barrel perk squeezes a tiny bit more damage out of Spike Grenades, but otherwise look for one that boosts velocity. For boss damage, in the first trait perk column, Withering Gaze give access to Void weakening if you're not on a void subclass or for you to work with subclass fragments if you are, for an effective ×1.15 damage boost, together with Bait and Switch in the second for ×1.3 damage (which is a ×1.495 total damage boost when both are procced), which helps offset the lack of a reload perk. Maybe a roll to tuck away for a season/episode when we don't have access to weakening via an artifact mod. If you're interested, Acosmic is named after one of the two Hindu aspects of god; to be acosmic is to deny the objective reality of the temporal world - transcendental in a world-negating sense (according to Merriam-Webster). Recommended MW: Reload Speed (if it's Blast Radius, leave it well alone with Spike Grenades) depending on your preference, with a Backup Mag mod or, when masterworked, Synergy to generate Void Breaches, or Stunloader when there's a matching artifact mod.|tags:PvE PvE-Boss PvE-BossSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller

For boss damage, Hard Launch as the barrel perk squeezes a tiny bit more damage out of Spike Grenades, but otherwise look for one that boosts velocity. Air Trigger may sound like a weird recommendation for the first trait perk, but it's more for the additional reserves - equivalent to 1.5 reserve mods (2 mods when enhanced) and, as long as you start your reload animation while in the air, the whole reload will be sped up. You'll need a fast reload to use with Bait and Switch for the ×1.3 damage boost for 10s. The Search Party origin trait, gaining better ADS and strafe speed when on your own, might be useful when you're away from your fireteam, but think of it more as a useful added extra when it's procced, but don't overlook Nadir Focus for extra velocity. What these Acosmic perks do

Clown Cartridge

Reloading randomly overfills the Magazine from reserves by 10% to 50% of the base Magazine Capacity (rounded up). Works out to a 30% overfill on average.

Bait and Switch

Dealing damage with a weapon starts a 7 second timer. Dealing additional weapon damage resets the timer to 7 seconds. Dealing damage with all 3 of your weapons without letting the timer run out grants you 'Bait and Switch' for 10 seconds, granting 30% increased damage. Timer is disabled while Bait and Switch is active, requiring a full activation sequence once the buff expires.

Spike Grenades

Increases Grenade Impact damage: • 12.12% increase on Special Grenade Launchers • 12.5% increase on Power Grenade Launchers Due to the ratio of Detonation and Impact damage being tied to the Blast Radius stat on Grenade Launchers, a lower stat will provide a slightly higher overall damage increase.

Cascade Point

After scoring a kill or multiple Precision Hits within 5 seconds of each with a different weapon: Readying this weapon reduces its Firing Delay for 2.5 seconds. Firing Delay is reduced by 30% on SMGs and Machine Guns and by 40% on other archetypes. Precision Hits requried per weapon archetype: • Bows, Linear Fusion/Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaive Projectiles: 2 hits • Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles: 4 hits • Auto/Trace/Pulse Rifles, SMGs, Machine Guns, Sidearms: 6 hits

Explosive Light

Orb of Power pickups (even while the weapon is stowed) grant 1 Stack of Explosive Light. Maximum of 6 Stacks. Firing the weapon comsumes 1 Stack per Shot, granting increased damage and 100 Blast Radius. Grenade Launchers: 60% increased Explosive damage. Rocket Launchers: 25% increased Impact and Explosive damage. (Does not affect Wolfpack Rounds)

Impulse Amplifier

Passively grants 20 Reload Speed and 15% decreased Reload Animation Duration (20% for Rocket Launchers). Passively increases Projectile Velocity based on Weapon Archetype: • Rocket Launchers: 10% • Support-Frame Auto Rifles: 15% • Micro-Missile Frame Weapons: 25%

Air Trigger

Passively grants 20 Ammo Generation Stat. (Equivalent of 1 Ammo Generation Armor Mod) Being Airborne grants the following benefits: • 30 Reload Speed • 0.8x Reload Duration Multiplier • 15?% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 20?% decreased Auto Aim Cone Size

Chain Reaction

Weapon Kills trigger an elemental explosion matching the weapon's element. Damage and radius of the explosions varies based on the weapon's ammo type: • Special Weapons: Up to 67.2 [44.8] damage in a 2.4 meter radius • Power Weapons: Up to 109.2 [72.8] damage in a 3 meter radius

Withering Gaze

Aiming Down Sights (ADS) for 1.5 seconds without firing and staying ADS causes your next shot to apply Weaken on a Direct Hit. Timer starts as soon as ADS input is pressed.

Reverberation

Weapon Kills grant 100 Blast Radius for 5.5 seconds. Blast Radius does not affect the lingering pools created by Area Denial Frame Grenade Launchers.

Destabilizing Rounds

Weapon Kills apply Volatile to enemies in a 7 meter radius around the target and grant Volatile Rounds for 3 seconds. 1.5 second cooldown between activations.
