Inspired by @PodvsEnemies episode 127 from 21 January 2025 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/27QaoJnY0M7c7Ikhz8CbUv?si=397188c406294fcf) with @Saint_Kabr, @ImpetusAlways and @CourtProjects (PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE pick for clearing Minor adds in general, and end-game underleveled content. Chroma Rush has a more PvP-oriented trait perk pool, but the origin trait the boosts handling and reload makes it viable, if you're still looking for a kinetic slot rapid fire auto-rifle. At base, the stats are decent - 25 Range equates to 22.20m ADS and 13.88m hipfire, 56 stability, 35 Handling is 0.42s ready, 0.32s ADS and 0.39s stow speed, and 47 Reload Speed is a 1.86s reload (1.49s with the intrinsic rapid-fire frame boost if you reload from an empty mag). The recoil direction is mostly vertical, if loose - you can improve control with the barrel perk or, if you're comfortable maybe push out the range a little. In the magazine, on controller, a bit more Stability is nice, boost reload speed further or add some extra bullets. For the trait perk slots, Subsistence is the best for PvE in the first column, while in the second Kinetic Tremors (although the damage scaling isn't great for the AoE shockwave), or Frenzy for a ×1.15 damage boost and max Handling and Reload Speed both work. The Splicer Surge origin trait is nice for PvE - reload after dealing damage for up to three stacks, which boosts handling and reload speed by 10/20/45 and applies a reload animation multiplier of ×0.967/×0.934/×0.9. Recommended MW: Range or Stability, with a Backup Mag mod or, when masterworked, Synergy to create power orbs or, when the artifact mod's around, Stunloader.|tags:PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller

pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller): "Rapid-Fire Autos frequently manage to be a sleeper pick in PvP due to their Optimal TTK being 0.75s (exception being T10 Resilience at 0.83s) and this one is no different. Chroma Rush brings a respectable selection of perks, with many options to boost lower stats and/or increase damage. Target Lock can smooth out the TTK to 0.75s or Kill Clip with its blistering 0.58s for T9 and below! Combined with the origin trait, Chroma Rush will feel quite lethal and snappy!" Recommended MW: Range.

What these Chroma Rush perks do

Subsistence

Weapon Kills refill 10% of the magazine (rounded up) from reserves. Submachine Gun and Auto Rifle Kills refill 17% of the magazine.

Kinetic Tremors

Scoring multiple Direct Hits against a target within 3 seconds of each emits 3 damaging shockwaves from its location at the time of activation. Hit counter persists through stow. Shockwaves appear 0.25 seconds after scoring enough Hits and have a 1 second delay between each pulse. With Bows, the initial delay is decreased to 0.167 seconds. Each shockwave deals up to 90 [20] damage in a 6 meter radius. Shockwaves deal 33.33% more damage when activated on Miniboss or higher tier PvE Combatants. Shockwaves inherit Weapon Damage Buffs, the weapon's passive Kinetic Damage Bonus in PVE (10% on Primary, 15% on Special), and its Combatant Damage Scaling. They also count as non-direct Hits with the weapon for other interactions. The perk cannot be retriggered by anyone on a target until 2? seconds after the last shockwave. Hits required for Activation: • Submachine Guns: 14 • Auto Rifles: 12 • Pulse Rifles: 11 • Sidearms: 8 • Precision Hand Cannons and Precision Scout Rifles: 6 • Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles: 5 • Bows, Sniper Rifles: 3

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

Frenzy

After being in Combat for 12 seconds: Grants 15% increased damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload Speed for 7.2 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed. Dealing and receiving damage refreshes the buff duration. For Frenzy, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.

Target Lock

Successive Hits within 0.2 seconds of each grant a ramping Damage Buff after scoring 12.5% of the Magazine Capacity as hits. Missing deactivates the buff. Stacks displayed on-screen are only visual aides, the buff ramps up with each shot once active. Reaches maximum strength at 5 Stacks. % of the Magazine Capacity as Hits required for each Visual Stack: 12.5%|35.5%|54.5%|74.5%|110.33% Damage Buff ramps up from 16.73% [10.46%] to 40% [25%] upon reaching maximum strength. Assuming no missed shots, it provides roughly a 25% [15.85%] Damage Buff on average after firing 100% of the Magazine Capacity.

Rampage

Weapon Kills grant a Stack of Rampage. Maximum of 3 Stacks. Stacks expire one at a time every 4.5 seconds. Grants a 10%|21%|33.1% damage increase at 1|2|3 Stacks. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.

Dynamic Sway Reduction

Each shot while holding down the trigger grants the following benefits: • 1 Stability • ?% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 10% decreased Accuracy Cone Growth Reaches maximum strength after 10 shots, granting 10 Stability, ?% decreased Accuracy Cone Size, and 100% decreased Accuracy Cone Growth.

Tap the Trigger

Firing grants 'Tap The Trigger' for 0.6 seconds, providing the following benefits: • 40 Stability • 50% decreased Recoil • 10% decreased Accuracy Cone Size Fusion Rifles only receive 25% of the benefits. Buff cannot be refreshed until Automatic Weapons stop firing, or until the next burst. [Controller-Only] Weapon fires the instant trigger pressure is applied.

Kill Clip

Finishing a reload within 3.6 seconds of a kill grants 25% increased damage for 5 seconds. Stowing the weapon removes the buff. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.

Killing Wind

On Weapon Kill, for 5 seconds: • 50 Mobility • 40 Handling and 20 Range • 5% increased Damage Falloff Distance Additional Kills extend the duration by 5 seconds, up to 8 seconds. Buff is removed on stow.

To the Pain

Every 30 points of damage taken with the weapon readied grants a Stack of 'To the Pain'. Maximum of 10 Stacks. Stowing the weapon removes all Stacks. Each Stack grants ? Handling and 2 Aim Assist, maxing out at ? Handling and 20 Aim Assist. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.
