pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "I've seen some buzz with this sidearm. For one it is probably the easiest way to use Heal Clip as sidearms have naturally quick reload times. Cure also works better in PvE compared to PvP. Being able to scorch rooms with Incandescent and get some healing back like Unrelenting makes this a sidearm version of the CALUS-Mini Tool." Recommended MW: Range.

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 78 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/5KOQQ9QtvSEhRVb4vjeO3B?si=8c4784e02b87424e) with @Saint_Kabr and @CourtProjects. First-choice PvE pick for Solar synergy and add clearing Minor Spec enemies in end-game content (although you'll be brave to be that close!). Heliocentric (translation "sun-centred") has great base stats, so you can go for a little extra range, stability or handling with your barrel park - that's pretty much down to your preference. Reload Speed will be the most important magazine perk stat boost, so Flared Magwell, Tactical Mag or even Alloy Mag are good picks. The tried and true combination of Demolitionist in the first trait column as the support park to regenerate grenade energy, and Adrenaline Junkie in the second as the signature perk to use that grenade to boost damage by 33% is always worth considering, if you don't have that combination on a sidearm already, but don't overlook the passive damage and stat boosts from Frenzy and Surrounded either. The Nadir Focus Origin Trait adding range and accuracy on repeated hits isn't game-changing, but it is nice to have. Recommended MW: Handling or Reload Speed, with a damage-boosting (Minor or Taken Spec) mod.|tags: PvE, PvE-MinorSpec, PvE-EndGame, PvE-God, M+KB, Controller

The new to S22 Heal Clip as the first column support perk provides you and any one nearby with a burst of Cure when you reload after a kill, or Demolitionist refunds grenade energy - pair either with Incandescent in the second column as the signature perk, for Solar synergy, with scorch and ignite kills adding to the grenade energy tally too. pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller): " I don't think the Heliocentric QSc will have as much fun in PvP. Kill Clip is the only solid fourth column perk, and while Rangefinder did get nerfed it will be strong on this sidearm for pushing out the AA, thus extending its feel. You'll still want to push out the range via Hammer-Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds and a Range MW." Recommended MW: Range.

What these Heliocentric QSc perks do

Kill Clip

Finishing a reload within 3.6 seconds of a kill grants 25% increased damage for 5 seconds. Stowing the weapon removes the buff. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.

Heal Clip

Finishing a reload within 5.3? seconds of a Kill grants Cure x2 to you and Cure x1 to allies within 15 meters.

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

Incandescent

Weapon Kills trigger a Solar explosion that applies 30 Scorch Stacks (40 with Ember of Ashes) and deals up to 30 damage to enemies within 4 meters of the target. Killing Elite or higher tier Combatants and Players increases the radius to 8 meters and applies 10 more Scorch Stacks. Scorch damage can be increased through Weapon Damage Buffs.

Demolitionist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Grenade Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Using your Grenade Ability refills the Magazine with a 3 second cooldown. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Frenzy

After being in Combat for 12 seconds: Grants 15% increased damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload Speed for 7.2 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed. Dealing and receiving damage refreshes the buff duration. For Frenzy, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.

Surrounded

Being within 15 meters of 3 Enemies grants 40% increased damage. Buff lingers for 1.5 seconds once the condition is no longer met. Exceptions: • Swords only receive a 35% damage increase. • Grenade and Rocket Launchers receive a 35% Explosive Damage increase and a 40% Impact Damage increase. • Wolfpack Rounds receive a 35% Explosive Damage increase.

Adrenaline Junkie

Weapon Kills grant 1 Stack of Adrenaline Junkie for 4.5 seconds. Grenade Kills grant all 5 Stacks instantly even if the weapon is stowed. Adrenaline Junkie benefits: • 20 Handling • 6.7%|13.3%|20%|26.6%|33.3% increased damage at 1|2|3|4|5 Stacks

Perpetual Motion

While moving at a minimum of 2 meters per second: Grants a Stack of 'Perpetual Motion' after 2 seconds and a second Stack after 10 seconds. Each Stack provides 10 Stability, 10 Handling, and 10 Reload Speed. All Stacks are removed if movement speed is below 2 m/s for 0.5 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed.

Rangefinder

Aiming Down Sights grants the following benefits: • 10 Range • 10% increased Effective Zoom • 5% increased Projectile Speed The Effective Zoom increase pushes out Aim Assist Falloff by 10%, reduces (Absolute) Recoil by 10% and narrows the Accuracy and Aim Assist Cones by the same amount. (This is the normal behavior of Zoom and isn't unique to Rangefinder)

Moving Target

Grants the following while Aiming Down Sights (ADS): • 10 Aim Assist • 10% decreased ADS Movement Speed Penalty
