pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "This sidearm is the reason why this breakdown took so long. I cannot wrap my head around it and it took me a while to get rolls I wanted to test. Beacon Rounds are incredible, it turns into a mini-tracking rocket. A beefier Dreg’s Promise if you remember. Impulse Amplifier gives you a near hit scan weapon. Voltshot turns Indebted Kindness into a pocket Trinity Ghoul with a beefier per shot damage profile." Recommended MW: Velocity.

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 90 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/7C3Wx7xXVw10WshiLn5sT8?si=ZNEiHi_ZRfW5z3BbkOMrVQ) with @CourtProjects, @ImpetusAlways, and @Saint_Kabr. Backup PvE pick for Major Spec enemies particularly for Void Gyrfalcon Hunters in end-game content. Indebted Kindness is the first ever Rocket-Assisted Frame sidearm, so there's no comparison possible. It seems to be a weird mix of sidearm and grenade launcher, which hits like a truck. Blast Radius seems to be the most impactful stat so any of the barrel perks that help boost it are viable. For similar reasons, High-Explosive Ordnance is the top choice for the mag perk. The new-to-Season 23 Permeability trait in the second trait column means, if you're running Gyrfalcons, you can use Indebted Kindness to apply volatility at will - making this really strong against Barrier Champions as well as for add clear. You can pair this with Lead From Gold to help with ammo economy, Beacond Rounds for strong enemy tracking or Loose Change for speedy reloads, if you're using Gambler's Dodge. The origin trait is situationally useful if you're in a construct-heavy environment, like the Warlord's Ruin dungeon itself. First-choice PvE pick for Major Spec enemies particularly for Arc subclasses in end-game content. More shots = more fun, so any of the mag-boosting perks can work as the mag perk. Voltshot, as the second trait perk, should make it easy to apply Jolt to a target and help clear adds quickly, but relies on a fast reload - Impulse Amplifier as the first trait perk helps all the time or, after your first application of Voltshot, Loose Change boosts reload speed by 50. Throw on other fragments like Spark of Beacons for additional blinding to suppress adds, or Ions/Discharge to feed your abilities and this could be a top choice for crowd control. The origin trait is situationally useful if you're in a construct-heavy environment, like the Warlord's Ruin dungeon itself. pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "Indebted Kindness is extremely interesting in the crucible. Impulse Amplifier can turn this into a near instant pseudo-grenade launcher shot, but I think most players are going to opt for Beacon Rounds for better tracking and hip-fire usage. The tracking isn’t incredible side to side, for when a Dawnblade flies across your screen, but for general strafing the tracking at low levels is great. At higher buffs you can start to get into a groove and be a bit more loose with your aim, but I wouldn’t rely heavily on the tracking. Adagio makes Indebted Kindness a reliable two shot, which I think feeds well into Beacon Rounds." Recommended MW: Velocity.

What these Indebted Kindness perks do

Voltshot

Finishing a reload within 5.3 seconds of a Weapon Kill grants Voltshot for 7 seconds. While Voltshot is active, your next Weapon Hit consumes the buff and applies Jolt to the target. Applied Jolt's damage (generally) does not count as Weapon Damage.

Beacon Rounds

Kills with the weapon grant a Stack of Beacon Rounds for 6 seconds. Maximum of 4 Stacks. Scoring futher Hits with the weapon can extend the buff duration up to the maximum of 4 seconds. Buff can be activated while stowed. Each Stack grants increased projectile tracking. Projectile Tracking is only in effect while the Targeted Reticle is active. Grants the following while you have active Stacks: • 15 Reload Speed • 0.9x Reload Duration Multiplier • 45% increased Projectile Tracking Cone size

Impulse Amplifier

Passively grants 20 Reload Speed and 15% decreased Reload Animation Duration (20% for Rocket Launchers). Passively increases Projectile Velocity based on Weapon Archetype: • Rocket Launchers: 10% • Support-Frame Auto Rifles: 15% • Micro-Missile Frame Weapons: 25%

Lead from Gold

Heavy Ammo Pickups grants 25% of your maximum Special Ammo Reserves even while the weapon is stowed. Equipping two Special Weapons halves the amount of ammo granted.

Surrounded

Being within 15 meters of 3 Enemies grants 40% increased damage. Buff lingers for 1.5 seconds once the condition is no longer met. Exceptions: • Swords only receive a 35% damage increase. • Grenade and Rocket Launchers receive a 35% Explosive Damage increase and a 40% Impact Damage increase. • Wolfpack Rounds receive a 35% Explosive Damage increase.

Adagio

Weapon Kills grant the following for 7 seconds: • 10 Range • 30% increased damage • 20% longer Firing Delay/Charge Time/Draw Time Hand Cannons only recieve a 27% damage increase. Buff is removed on stow.

Enlightened Action

Weapon Hits grant Stacks of Enlightened Action for 2 seconds. Maximum of 12 Stacks. Stat bonuses at 1|2|…|12 Stacks: 2|7|12|15|20|25|30|35|38|40|45|50 Handling and Reload Speed Stacks granted per hit by Weapon Type: • Hand Cannons: 3 Stacks • Bows: ? Stacks • Automatic Weapons: 1 Stack

Loose Change

Applying an Elemental Debuff grants the following benefits for 9 seconds: • 50 Reload Speed and 20 Aim Assist • 20% decreased ADS Movement Speed Penalty Buff can be activated while stowed.

Permeability

Class Ability usage refills ?% of your Magazine (rounded up) from reserves and changes the weapon's element to match your Super Ability until stowed. Magazine Refill cannot be triggered again without stowing the weapon first. Kinetic weapons lose their Passive Damage Bonus against non-Boss PVE Combatants (10% on Primary, 15% on Special).
