pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "I'm excited Peacebond came back, but PvE is not its place. Headstone and Rimestealer are great when on Stasis, but the alternative is Subsistence and Frenzy, on a sidearm feels kinda weak. Not that there's much better in Kill Clip. But I don't think it's Peacebond’s fault." Recommended MW: Reload Speed.

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies episode 133 from 11 March 2025 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/49VFDRj05iDXTJDOBqQpga?si=e61731a19fb64938) with @CourtProjects, @Saint_Kabr and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-MinorSpec M+KB Controller): Backup PvE pick for use against Minor add groups in general at-level or better content. Peacebond's trait perk pool is more PvP oriented, but there are still a few useful PvE rolls for sidearm aficionados. At base, the stats are in-band by comparison with its peers - 33 Range and 12 Zoom equate to 14.78m ADS and 12.32m hipfire, 79 Stability is ×1.2327 flinch resist at 100 Resilience, 50 Handling is 0.29s ready, 0.23s ADS and 0.33s stow speed, 29 Reload Speed is a 1.81s reload and Recoil Direction is 92. Sidearm range is very compressed, so maybe look to improve Stability (Controller) or Handling (M+KB) with the barrel and magazine perks. Headstone in the first trait perk column generates Stasis Crystals for you to shatter for AoE damage against add groups, which you can combine with a damage boosting perk in the second like Frenzy, to boost damage by ×1.15 and max out Handling and Reload Speed just for being in CQC, or Desperate Measures for up to ×1.3 damage for 7s when you combine weapon and ability kills. The reworked Skulking Wolf origin trait can be useful in PvE, making enemies less accurate when firing at you for 10s after getting a kill while at low health. Recommended MW: Handling, Stability or Reload Speed with a Backup Mag mod or, when fully enhanced, Synergy to create Stasis shards or, when the artifact mod's around, Stunloader. Also, don't forget to check whether there's a useful Seasonal Fragile mod for the activity you're running.|tags:PvE PvE-MinorSpec M+KB Controller

pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "Where Peacebond does belong is over in the Crucible of Iron Osiris. Or something like that. Zen Moment really keeps that reticle bounce down and makes the third bullet less jumpy. Kill Clip allows you to immediately follow up as most sidearm magazines are pretty small, and the burst chews through ammo. If you're opting for a more neutral sidearm for Trials, competitive, or rumble then you should look for Lone Wolf or Rangefinder to really push out some stats or your range. Headseeker is great neutrally but you can't go wrong with Desperate Measures either." Recommended MW: Range.

Peacebond's trait perk pool is more PvP oriented, but there are still a few useful PvE rolls for sidearm aficionados. What these Peacebond perks do

Headstone

Precision Kills create a Large Stasis Crystal at the target's location. Tier 1-2 Minor and Tier 1 Elite Combatants only spawn a Medium Stasis Crystal. Creating 5 Crystals within ? seconds prevents the perk from activating for 5 seconds.

Rimestealer

Killing Frozen Enemies or Shattering a Stasis Crystal with the weapon grants a Stack of Frost Armor.

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

Frenzy

After being in Combat for 12 seconds: Grants 15% increased damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload Speed for 7.2 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed. Dealing and receiving damage refreshes the buff duration. For Frenzy, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.

Desperate Measures

Weapon Kills grant 'Desperate Measures x1' (DMx1), increasing damage by 10% for 7 seconds. Grenade or Melee Kills grant 20% increased damage for 7 seconds (DMx2). Scoring another Grenade or Melee Kill with DMx2 active increases this to 30% (DMx3). Can be activated while stowed. Weapon, Grenade, and Melee Kills refresh the buff duration.

Subsistence

Weapon Kills refill 10% of the magazine (rounded up) from reserves. Submachine Gun and Auto Rifle Kills refill 17% of the magazine.

Kill Clip

Finishing a reload within 3.6 seconds of a kill grants 25% increased damage for 5 seconds. Stowing the weapon removes the buff. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.

Zen Moment

Weapon Hits grant 1 Stack of the perk for 1 second up to the maximum of 5? Stacks. Benefits granted per Stack: • Grants ?% Flinch Resistance • Reduces Visual Weapon Shake by 15% • Reduces Reticle Bounce by 15% Stacks gained per Weapon Hit by weapon type: • Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles: 2? • Pulse Rifles, Sidearms: 1.5 • Other Weapons: 1

Headseeker

Dealing non-Precision Direct damage grants the following benefits for 0.55 seconds: • 20% increased Precision Bonus (complicated, see specific damage increases below) • 3% increased Aim Assist Cone size Precision damage increases by weapon type/frame: • Pulse Rifles: Adaptive: 7.1%, Aggressive Burst: 10%, Heavy Burst: 9.5%, High-Impact: 8.74%, Lightweight: 6.3%, Rapid-Fire: 10.3% • Sidearms: Adaptive Burst: 8.46%, Heavy Burst: 7.36% • Scout Rifles: Precision: 8.66% [Bug] Heavy Burst Hand Cannons: 7% increased Weakspot damage. The distinction between Weakspots and Critspots is complicated and we might write an explainer blog post about it eventually. For the purposes of PvP, the two are equivalent.

Lone Wolf

Passively grants 5 Aim Assist, 15 Airborne Effectiveness, and a 10% decreased ADS Animation Duration. While no allies are within 15 meters: Bonuses are increased to 10 Aim Assist, 30 Airborne Effectiveness, and a 20% decreased ADS Animation Duration.

Rangefinder

Aiming Down Sights grants the following benefits: • 10 Range • 10% increased Effective Zoom • 5% increased Projectile Speed The Effective Zoom increase pushes out Aim Assist Falloff by 10%, reduces (Absolute) Recoil by 10% and narrows the Accuracy and Aim Assist Cones by the same amount. (This is the normal behavior of Zoom and isn't unique to Rangefinder)
