pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): Recommended MW: Reload. Rapid-Fire(720) Strand Auto Rifle Primary Ammo. "I have been seeing a LOT of buzz about Rufus’s Fury (also arguably the most fun to say: Rufus’s’s’s’s’s’s’s’s) Reconstruction or Rewind Rounds will extend your magazine further than other auto rifles of its class. Target Lock will deal great damage but Paracausal Affinity is going to be the play, especially if you invest into Strand. Hatchling is also fun if you invest into Strand more for the Threadlings for damage."

pandapaxxy (PvP / Controller): Recommended MW: Range. Rapid-Fire(720) Strand Auto Rifle Primary Ammo. "In PvP Target Lock is going to be your best friend. Tap the Trigger and Perpetual Motion are great for bringing up the average stability and handling. If you are accurate with this gun you might find the best use in Target Lock. I am sure this weapon will see less use if Target Lock gets a targeted nerf but we will have to see in the coming weeks."

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 57 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/3LOWj7jLe0eiacDYwEbK22) with @CourtProjects, @ImpetusAlways and @Saint_Kabr. First-choice PvE roll for Minor add-clear in end-game content. Shapeable. Most Raid weapons boast stellar stat packages, and Rufus's Fury is no different and will be most people's choice for a Strand primary, and will probably only get better when the additional fragments arrive. Although, at 56, the recoil is pretty up-and-down, Arrowhead Brake as the barrel perk takes the Recoil Direction to an even more controllable 86 and adds Handling. Flared Magwell or Ricochet Rounds add Stability and Reload Speed or Range and Stability in the magazine. Rewind Rounds is the best of the support perks in the first trait column for primary weapons, pairing with signature perks like Target Lock, where the refilled magazine allows you to reach the higher damage stacks, for damage against bulkier enemies or Frenzy for a general 15% damage bump. The Harmonic Resonance origin trait can boost damage still further by a stacking 3.33% with one other RoN Raid weapon or 10% with two. Reccommended MW: Range, Stability or Handling - just go with your preference, with a damage-boosting (Minor or Taken Spec) or Backup Mag mod|tags: PvE, PvE-MinorSpec, PvE-God, PvE-EndGame, Controller, M+KB

What these Rufus's Fury (Adept) perks do

Target Lock

Successive Hits within 0.2 seconds of each grant a ramping Damage Buff after scoring 12.5% of the Magazine Capacity as hits. Missing deactivates the buff. Stacks displayed on-screen are only visual aides, the buff ramps up with each shot once active. Reaches maximum strength at 5 Stacks. % of the Magazine Capacity as Hits required for each Visual Stack: 12.5%|35.5%|54.5%|74.5%|110.33% Damage Buff ramps up from 16.73% [10.46%] to 40% [25%] upon reaching maximum strength. Assuming no missed shots, it provides roughly a 25% [15.85%] Damage Buff on average after firing 100% of the Magazine Capacity.

Demolitionist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Grenade Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Using your Grenade Ability refills the Magazine with a 3 second cooldown. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Armor-Piercing Rounds

Grants 5% increased damage against Elemental and Barrier Champion Shields. Allows bullets to overpenetrate enemies once.

Reconstruction

Every 6 seconds while not firing the weapon: Loads 25% of the Magazine Capacity (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Can overfill the Magazine up to double the normal capacity. Works even while stowed.

Rewind Rounds

Upon emptying the Magazine: Refills 60% of the number of Hits landed (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Hits are counted from either your last reload or the last time the perk was triggered. Does not require Direct Hits. Requires firing 28.75% of the Magazine Capacity for the refill to activate. Cannot load the Magazine beyond its base capacity. Hits after triggering a refill do not count while the Rewind Rounds buff is active (1? second). Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifle behavior: • Each individual bolt in the burst counts as a Hit • Refill amount is uniquely 14% of the number of Hits rounded up (numbers are subject to change once we get more data points)

Frenzy

After being in Combat for 12 seconds: Grants 15% increased damage, 100 Handling, and 100 Reload Speed for 7.2 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed. Dealing and receiving damage refreshes the buff duration. For Frenzy, being in Combat is defined as having either dealt or received damage within the last 5 seconds. Self-damage and environmental damage do not count.

Paracausal Affinity

Scoring a Kill from any source matching the elemental alignment of the weapon grants 20% increased damage for 6 seconds. Buff can activate while stowed. Light Alignment: Arc, Solar, Void Darkness Alignment: Stasis, Strand

Perpetual Motion

While moving at a minimum of 2 meters per second: Grants a Stack of 'Perpetual Motion' after 2 seconds and a second Stack after 10 seconds. Each Stack provides 10 Stability, 10 Handling, and 10 Reload Speed. All Stacks are removed if movement speed is below 2 m/s for 0.5 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed.

High-Caliber Rounds

Hits inflict increased Flinch on Enemies. PVE: Tier 1-2 Minors can be repeatedly staggered. Higher Tier Combatants stagger quicker. PVP: Flinch against Players varies based on damage and Weapon Archetype. Flinch increase ranges between 5-10%.

Moving Target

Grants the following while Aiming Down Sights (ADS): • 10 Aim Assist • 10% decreased ADS Movement Speed Penalty

Tap the Trigger

Firing grants 'Tap The Trigger' for 0.6 seconds, providing the following benefits: • 40 Stability • 50% decreased Recoil • 10% decreased Accuracy Cone Size Fusion Rifles only receive 25% of the benefits. Buff cannot be refreshed until Automatic Weapons stop firing, or until the next burst. [Controller-Only] Weapon fires the instant trigger pressure is applied.

Harmony

Upon readying the weapon within 3 seconds of getting a Kill with a different weapon: Grants 20% increased damage and 15 Handling for 7 seconds.

Hatchling

Scoring a Precision Kill or 3 kills within 3 seconds of each other spawns a Threadling at the target's location.
