pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "Scavenger's Fate fits an interesting niche. Outside of Void Synergy you also have Discord in the third column to be paired with Surrounded or Frenzy for ammo back and some hard hitting shots. The naturally tighter spread on enemies will also contribute to it feeling great. At the end of the day it's still a shotgun, ask yourself if it's worth using in PvE." Recommended MW: Reload Speed.

Adamsdown_Boy written v8.1.5.4 (PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): PvE pick for clearing Majors and beefier Minor adds in general, and end-game underleveled content. Scavenger's Fate's precision frame means more predictably vertical recoil - not much of an advantage for a shotgun though. At base, the stats are decent - 60 Range equates to 5.53m, 38 Stability, 37 Handling is 0.42s ready, 0.36 ADS and 0.45 stow speed, and 46 Reload speed is a 0.73s per shell reload. The magazine size is 5 at base (max 7), and with 0/1/2/3 reserves mods, total ammo count is 20/22/23/24 (max 24). First, look to boost Handling with the barrel perk. In the mag perk slot, Assault Mag increase the RPM by +5, or Tactical Mag increases mag size by +1 and reload speed by +10, but you can always proc the origin trait to bypass reload, when needed. If you don't already have a general-purpose shotgun for dealing with beefier minors and majors, in the first trait perk column, Discord refunds free ammo on kills when procced, SlideShot makes it easy to keep your magazine topped off, Perpetual Motion adds useful gunfeel boosts or Dual Loader effectively halves reload time. Add in Surrounded in the second, for a ×1.4 damage boost in add crowds (×1.47 when enhanced). The Dark Ether Reaper origin trait is one of the best in the sandbox for PvE - generate a Dark Ether charge for 5s from kills, and then shoot with any weapon (or run into) the charge to proc a Dragonfly-type detonation which also overflows equipped and stowed Dark Ether weapons to ×1.4 (rounded up) base capacity or ×1.8 when enhanced, completely bypassing reload. Recommended MW: Handling, with a Backup Mag mod or, when masterworked, Synergy to create Void Breaches or, when the artifact mod's around, Stunloader.|tags:PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller

pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "Matador 64, Retold Tale, Compass Rose, Prophet Of Doom and now Scavenger's Fate. Oh how this archetype suddenly became crowded. Lone Wolf or Slideshot coupled with Closing Time will be the roll to get, it's unique enough compared to the other offerings, so at worst give it a shot. At best it could replace that crusty Matador and give the Ogre a break." Recommended MW: Range or Handling.
