warlockmaggie (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "Yeehaw, the Terminus Horizon is back to round out our rodeo! With new Arc perks as well as the ever-powerful Reconstruction + Killing Tally, there's some solid choices for this High-Impact Machine Gun. I'm particularly looking forward to trying out Triple Tap and Precision Instrument to see how that plays together. This archetype does suffer from an abysmal reload speed and stability, so fix those as you can." Recommended MW: Stability or Reload Speed

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies episode 139 from 13 May 2025 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/0m6Sfdv88fNZmYm9A6PdVR?si=140d643338154357) with @ImpetusAlways @CourtProjects and @Saint_Kabr (PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE pick for clearing Minor adds in both general at-level or better, and end-game underleveled content, particularly with an arc build. Unfortunately, Terminus Horizon is in the weakest subfamily for damage, so you can pass if you already have a well-rolled arc LMG. At base, by comparison with its peers, the stats are good - d2foundry.gg calculates that 64 Range equates to 47.88m ADS and 29.93m hipfire before damage dropoff, 25 Stability is ×1.1112 flinch resist at 100 Resilience, 38 Handling is 0.40s ready, 0.41s ADS and 0.38s stow speed, 24 Reload Speed is a 5.44s reload, Recoil Direction is 74, Zoom is 17, and magazine size is 46 (max 73). With 0/1/2/3 reserves mods, total ammo is 382/427/472/495 (max 495). A little bit of Stability and Handling from the barrel perk are useful to improve gunfeel and control. For the magazine perk, the priority is to maximise mag size, although TBH any mag perk can work. For an arc build, you might use this with double special as a heavy pseudo-scout rifle for general add clearing, using Reconstruction or Triple Tap in the first trait perk column to keep topping off the magazine, or Eddy Current to improve Reload Speed together with Rolling Storm to build up Bolt Charge stacks for single target chunk damage with some AoE damage too. The Tex Balanced Stock is there if you like hipfiring, but the Gravity Well origin trait can be very useful to pick up ammo bricks within 5m on a manual reload. Recommended MW: Handling, Stability or Reload Speed, with a Backup Mag mod or, when masterworked, Synergy to create Ionic Traces or, when the artifact mod's around, Stunloader.|tags:PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller

warlockmaggie (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "Terminus Horizon is a weapon that has PvP potential, it just has some hurdles to overcome. Once you deal with the Stability, you should have an easier time landing shots and that's where the perks come in. Pick your favorite 3rd column perk (Eddy Current seems like a strong option) and damage bonus and you're in business. Of special note, Killing Tally can 3 crit all Resilience levels at 3 stacks (a jaw dropping 0.33s ttk )@" Recommended MW: Range or Stability

What these Terminus Horizon perks do

Killing Tally

Weapon Kills grant a Stack of Killing Tally. Maximum of 3 Stacks. Stowing or reloading the weapon removes all Stacks. Damage increase at 1|2|3 Stacks: • PVE: 10% | 20% | 30% • PVP: 5% | 10% | 15%

Dragonfly

Precision Kills cause targets to explode, dealing up to 123.89 [95.3] weapon-matching elemental damage in a 4.5-meter radius.

High-Caliber Rounds

Hits inflict increased Flinch on Enemies. PVE: Tier 1-2 Minors can be repeatedly staggered. Higher Tier Combatants stagger quicker. PVP: Flinch against Players varies based on damage and Weapon Archetype. Flinch increase ranges between 5-10%.

Armor-Piercing Rounds

Grants 5% increased damage against Elemental and Barrier Champion Shields. Allows bullets to overpenetrate enemies once.

Alloy Magazine

Linearly grants a Reload Duration Multiplier as your magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty. Reload Duration Multiplier scales from 0.9x at 50% capacity to 0.8x with an empty magazine.

Reconstruction

Every 6 seconds while not firing the weapon: Loads 25% of the Magazine Capacity (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Can overfill the Magazine up to double the normal capacity. Works even while stowed.

Triple Tap

Scoring 3 Precision Hits within 2 seconds of each refills 1 Ammo into the Magazine from thin air. Cannot load the Magazine beyond its base capacity. Precision Hit counter persists through stow.

Rolling Storm

Weapon Kills grant 1 Stack of Bolt Charge. While Amplified, this is increased to 2 Stacks.

Eddy Current

Grants the following after sprinting for 1.5 seconds with the weapon readied: • 20 Reload Speed • 0.95x Reload Duration Multiplier • ? Handling • 0.95x Handling Animation Duration Multiplier Sprinting refreshes the buff duration. Being Amplified removes the sprinting requirement and increases the Reload Speed stat bonus to 60.

Demolitionist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Grenade Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Using your Grenade Ability refills the Magazine with a 3 second cooldown. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Jolting Feedback

Scoring multiple Direct Hits with the weapon within 3 seconds of each causes the next Direct Hit to apply Jolt. Being Amplified decreases the number of Hits required. Hits needed to activate normally | while Amplified: • Submachine Guns, Trace Rifles: 18 | 13 • Machine Guns: 16 | 11 • Auto Rifles: 15 | 11 • Pulse Rifles: 14 | 9 • Sidearms: 10 | 7 • Rocket Pulse Rifle: 8 | 5 • Scout Rifles, Hand Cannons: 7 | 6 • Swords: 6 | 4 • Glaives, Linear Fusion Rifles: 4 | 3 • Rocket Sidearm, Sniper Rifle?: 4 | 2 • Bows, Grenade Launchers: 3 | 2 • Shotguns, Aggressive Frame Fusion Rifle: 3|1

Precision Instrument

Direct Weapon Hits grant a stack of Precision Instrument for 1.25 seconds (2.1 seconds on weapons with a Draw/Charge Time). Maximum of 6 stacks. Reloading the weapon (except on Bows) or missing removes all stacks... usually. Heavy Burst Frame weapons can only gain 1 stack per burst. Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifles require 1.5? Hits for each stack (and missing sometimes does not remove your stacks on them). Precision damage increase at 1|2|... stacks: 4.17% | 8.33% | 12.5% | 16.67% | 20.83% | 25%

Envious Arsenal

Dealing any damage with both of your other weapons refills the magazine from reserves upon readying the weapon.

High-Impact Reserves

Increases damage by 12.1% [3%] to 25.6% [6%] as the Magazine drops from 50% of its base capacity to empty. The buff in PVE ranges between 10.3% and 22.9% instead on Fusion Rifles and Aggressive Frame Linear Fusion Rifles. Does not buff the Splash/Explosive damage elements of other perks.

Target Lock

Successive Hits within 0.2 seconds of each grant a ramping Damage Buff after scoring 12.5% of the Magazine Capacity as hits. Missing deactivates the buff. Stacks displayed on-screen are only visual aides, the buff ramps up with each shot once active. Reaches maximum strength at 5 Stacks. % of the Magazine Capacity as Hits required for each Visual Stack: 12.5%|35.5%|54.5%|74.5%|110.33% Damage Buff ramps up from 16.73% [10.46%] to 40% [25%] upon reaching maximum strength. Assuming no missed shots, it provides roughly a 25% [15.85%] Damage Buff on average after firing 100% of the Magazine Capacity.
