pandapaxxy (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "Arguably the best weapon in this DLC, The Call is only the second Rocket-Assisted Frame. The benefit is that The Call is craftable. If you never got your toes into Warlord's Ruin or haven't gotten a good drop, The Call allows you to mix and match. Lead from Gold or Subsistence are going to allow you to use The Call more like a primary weapon, paired with Hatchling for Strand synergy. One for All is not only the best damage perk in slot, it is incredibly easy to proc with the AoE from the rocket shots." Recommended MW: Velocity.

pandapaxxy (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "Rocket-Assisted Frames are not super strong in PvP. Slice allows you to sever your opponents and get a bit of a damage advantage. Beacon Rounds adds some flexibility in your shots as it adds in tracking. Strategist is gonna be best if you're using a high class ability build. In terms.of the fourth column, Adrenaline Junkie or Desperate Measures are both easy to get 20% damage or more with ability usage. While it's more of an on / off weapon where without a damage perk it does pretty whelming damage, once you get an ability kill it can allow you to roll over teams easier." Recommended MW: Velocity.

Inspired by @PodvsEnemies Podcast vs Enemies episode 106 from 18 June 2024 (https://open.spotify.com/episode/0GYlriUxhFqNHGLqb84C1G?si=bb5a2c9b339d4c35) with @ImpetusAlways, @CourtProjects and @Saint_Kabr. First-choice PvE pick for Minor and Major add clearing in end-game content. Shapeable. The Call is the best weapon to come from the Pale Heart weapon set. There's only one other rocket-assisted frame, so there's not much to compare against, but the stats don't honestly matter. You'd normally look for velocity in a non-hitscan weapon, but there's an argument to be made for blast radius too so the barrel and mag perk choices depend on your preference. In the first trait perk column, Demolitionist boosts grenade energy on kills, which you can pair with the traditional Adrenaline Junkie for +33% damage or Desperate Measures (which is easy to proc with Prismatic) for up to +30% in the second column. The Dealer's Choice origin trait is nice to have (who doesn't love more super energy?) - with two or three Pale Heart weapons, you'll notice the difference! You'd normally look for velocity in a non-hitscan weapon, but there's an argument to be made for blast radius too so the barrel and mag perk choices depend on your preference (although be aware that High-Explosive Ordnance will reduce the base mag size to 9). This is going to one-hit kill red bars in most content, so Subsistence is a good choice to bypass reloading entirely, or Lead from Gold will help with the already good ammo economy in the first trait perk column. In the second, One for All can proc from AoE damage ticks - which is why you might want to focus on blast radius - for +35% bonus damage for 10s. First-choice PvE pick for a Bait and Switch rotation for sustained boss DPS in end-game content. As a niche roll in a boss fight, a Hunter could include this in a Bait and Switch weapon rotation, dodging to reload a power weapon, swapping and then applying Slice as the first trait column perk to reduce boss damage output. You're not going to be getting a damage boost from any other source in the middle of a damage phase, so Vorpal Weapon in the second column at least gives you +15% damage just for firing at a boss. The Dealer's Choice origin trait is nice to have (who doesn't love more super energy?) - with two or three Pale Heart weapons, you'll notice the difference! What these The Call perks do

Subsistence

Weapon Kills refill 10% of the magazine (rounded up) from reserves. Submachine Gun and Auto Rifle Kills refill 17% of the magazine.

One for All

Scoring Weapon Hits against 3 Separate Enemies within 3 seconds of each grants 35% increased damage for 10 seconds. Does not require Direct Hits. Buff duration cannot be refreshed.

Vorpal Weapon

Deals increased damage against Minibosses, Bosses, and Vehicles, as well as Players in their Super Ability. Damage increase by Ammo Type: • Primary Weapons: 20% [60%] • Special Weapons: 15% [20%] • Power Weapons: 10% [20%]

Hatchling

Scoring a Precision Kill or 3 kills within 3 seconds of each other spawns a Threadling at the target's location.

Lead from Gold

Heavy Ammo Pickups grants 25% of your maximum Special Ammo Reserves even while the weapon is stowed. Equipping two Special Weapons halves the amount of ammo granted.

Beacon Rounds

Kills with the weapon grant a Stack of Beacon Rounds for 6 seconds. Maximum of 4 Stacks. Scoring futher Hits with the weapon can extend the buff duration up to the maximum of 4 seconds. Buff can be activated while stowed. Each Stack grants increased projectile tracking. Projectile Tracking is only in effect while the Targeted Reticle is active. Grants the following while you have active Stacks: • 15 Reload Speed • 0.9x Reload Duration Multiplier • 45% increased Projectile Tracking Cone size

Adrenaline Junkie

Weapon Kills grant 1 Stack of Adrenaline Junkie for 4.5 seconds. Grenade Kills grant all 5 Stacks instantly even if the weapon is stowed. Adrenaline Junkie benefits: • 20 Handling • 6.7%|13.3%|20%|26.6%|33.3% increased damage at 1|2|3|4|5 Stacks

Slice

Using your Class Ability (even while the weapon is stowed) grants you 'Slice' for 8 seconds. While 'Slice' is active, damaging non-Severed targets Severs them, grants a stack of Slice, and refreshes the buff duration. (Hitting immune targets also triggers this.) Reaching 5 stacks immediately removes the buff. If the Severing hit kills the target, the perk will not trigger and you will not gain a stack.

Desperate Measures

Weapon Kills grant 'Desperate Measures x1' (DMx1), increasing damage by 10% for 7 seconds. Grenade or Melee Kills grant 20% increased damage for 7 seconds (DMx2). Scoring another Grenade or Melee Kill with DMx2 active increases this to 30% (DMx3). Can be activated while stowed. Weapon, Grenade, and Melee Kills refresh the buff duration.

Strategist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Class Ability Energy. Kills with Fusion Rifles, Glaives, Shotguns, and Sniper Rifles grant 20%. Class Ability usage grants ? Stability for ? seconds. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Demolitionist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Grenade Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Using your Grenade Ability refills the Magazine with a 3 second cooldown. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.
