warlockmaggie (PvE / M+KB / Controller): "No question, the Inquisitor is an Arc Slug shotgun with attitude. With better stats than Gunnora's Axe and many more perks for PvE, I'm definitely going to try to get a copy. The 4th column has some incredibly potent DPS perks in Bait and Switch and Precision Instrument, with Cascade Point making for some hilarious mag dumping. Due to how this archetype is used, you'll want to either invest in Stability or Handling; additionally, cleaning up the recoil will help when doing mag dumps into a boss." Recommended MW: Stability or Reload Speed

warlockmaggie (PvP / M+KB / Controller): "Unlike their pellet siblings, Slug Shotguns have a very interesting use in PvP; and thankfully, Inquisitor brings many perks to fulfill that role. I'm specifically going to be looking at Lone Wolf + Opening Shot / Closing Time for the most accuracy boosts I can squeeze out of this gun. While Range and Handling are your target stats, you should no problem getting both to maximum with these combinations." Recommended MW: Range or Handling

What these The Inquisitor perks do

Envious Assassin

Upon readying the weapon after scoring Kills with your other Weapons: Refills and/or overfills the Magazine from reserves based on the amount of Weapon Kills scored. Maximum total overfill amount is 200% of the Magazine Capacity. Each activation can only load up to 100% of the Magazine Capacity into the magazine. Loaded ammo per Kill by ammo type (rounds up): • Primary Weapons: 10% of Magazine Capacity • Special and Power Weapons: 20%

Bait and Switch

Dealing damage with a weapon starts a 7 second timer. Dealing additional weapon damage resets the timer to 7 seconds. Dealing damage with all 3 of your weapons without letting the timer run out grants you 'Bait and Switch' for 10 seconds, granting 30% increased damage. Timer is disabled while Bait and Switch is active, requiring a full activation sequence once the buff expires.

Cascade Point

After scoring a kill or multiple Precision Hits within 5 seconds of each with a different weapon: Readying this weapon reduces its Firing Delay for 2.5 seconds. Firing Delay is reduced by 30% on SMGs and Machine Guns and by 40% on other archetypes. Precision Hits requried per weapon archetype: • Bows, Linear Fusion/Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaive Projectiles: 2 hits • Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles: 4 hits • Auto/Trace/Pulse Rifles, SMGs, Machine Guns, Sidearms: 6 hits

Rolling Storm

Weapon Kills grant 1 Stack of Bolt Charge. While Amplified, this is increased to 2 Stacks.

Precision Instrument

Direct Weapon Hits grant a stack of Precision Instrument for 1.25 seconds (2.1 seconds on weapons with a Draw/Charge Time). Maximum of 6 stacks. Reloading the weapon (except on Bows) or missing removes all stacks... usually. Heavy Burst Frame weapons can only gain 1 stack per burst. Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifles require 1.5? Hits for each stack (and missing sometimes does not remove your stacks on them). Precision damage increase at 1|2|... stacks: 4.17% | 8.33% | 12.5% | 16.67% | 20.83% | 25%

Threat Detector

Grants 1|2 Stacks while within 15 meters of 1|2+ enemies. Bonuses at 1|2 Stacks: • 15|40 Stability • 18|60 Reload Speed • 25|100 Handling • 0.9x|0.81x Handling Animation Duration Multiplier

Loose Change

Applying an Elemental Debuff grants the following benefits for 9 seconds: • 50 Reload Speed and 20 Aim Assist • 20% decreased ADS Movement Speed Penalty Buff can be activated while stowed.

Closing Time

Grants linearly scaling benefits as the Magazine drops from 50% capacity to empty: • 10 to 20 Range • 30? to 50? Handling • 10-20% decreased Handling Animation Duration • 5?% to 10?% decreased Accuracy Cone Size Special weapons only receive 50% of the benefits. Stats are rounded up.

Lone Wolf

Passively grants 5 Aim Assist, 15 Airborne Effectiveness, and a 10% decreased ADS Animation Duration. While no allies are within 15 meters: Bonuses are increased to 10 Aim Assist, 30 Airborne Effectiveness, and a 20% decreased ADS Animation Duration.

Opening Shot

Grants the following benefits for your first shot (of the burst): • 20 Aim Assist and 25 Range • 5% decreased Accuracy Cone Size • 10% decreased Accuracy Cone Growth Special weapons only receive 50% of the benefits. Stats are rounded up. Firing the weapon prevents the perk from activating for 3 seconds.

Fragile Focus

Passively grants 20 Range but deactivates if you drop to 0 Shield HP (Critical Health). Buff reactivates 1 second after your Shields HP fully regenerates.

Slideshot

Sliding refills 15% of the Magazine (rounded up) and grants 20 Range and Stability for your next shot (of the burst) within 2.5 seconds. 0.3 second cooldown after activation but can activate multiple times during a slide. Buff is removed on stow.

Perpetual Motion

While moving at a minimum of 2 meters per second: Grants a Stack of 'Perpetual Motion' after 2 seconds and a second Stack after 10 seconds. Each Stack provides 10 Stability, 10 Handling, and 10 Reload Speed. All Stacks are removed if movement speed is below 2 m/s for 0.5 seconds. Works and can activate while stowed.
