Inspired by @CourtProjects, @Saint_Kabr and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-Boss PvE-MajorSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for burst damage against Banes, Elites, Champions and Minibosses in both general at-level or better, and end-game underleveled content, particularly with melee builds. As a lightweight frame, you get the +20 Mobility and ×1.0625 base movement speed, but as a shotgun there's a question mark over what the use case is over other special weapon options. The stats are good by comparison with its peers, and they're helped further at Tier 4/5 when barrel and magazine perks are enhanced - see https://d2foundry.gg/w/3868973291 for how the weapon stats impact in-game performance. From @mossy_max's spreadsheet (https://destiny2.science/reserves), base mag size is 6 (max 8) and total ammo is 16. Range is very compressed on shotguns, so look for a barrel perk to improve Handling or, with a view to One-Two Punch, Full Choke to reduce pellet spread a little, to ×0.9625. For the magazine perk, Tactical Mag to bump up the magazine a bit and improve reload speed, or Assault Mag to increase RPM to 85.71 to improve damage output both work. For burst damage, in the first trait perk column, Rewind Rounds refills 60% of hits landed (70% when enhanced) from reserves to save on reloads, or Lead from Gold generates 25% of your special ammo reserves when you pick up heavy bricks so you don't have to worry about special ammo generation. For melee builds, One-Two Punch provides +150% melee damage for 3s for hitting all 12 pellets (10 when enhanced). The Frame of Reference Origin Trait stacks up to ×5 times on kills, providing up to ×1.07 damage and boosts to Reload Speed and Range for 8s, with the timer pausing when the weapon's stowed. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod/enhanced mod to boost mag size, weapon stats, ammo regeneration, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.|tags:PvE PvE-Boss PvE-MajorSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller

Inspired by @CourtProjects, @Saint_Kabr and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-Boss PvE-BossSpec PvE-God PvE-EndGame M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for sustained boss damage as part of a CQC Bait and Switch weapon rotation in both general at-level or better, and end-game underleveled content. As a lightweight frame, you get the +20 Mobility and ×1.0625 base movement speed, but as a shotgun there's a question mark over what the use case is over other special weapon options. For the magazine perk, Assault Mag to increase RPM to 85.71 to improve damage output or Tactical Mag to bump up the magazine a bit and improve reload speed both work. For sustained close-range boss damage in the first trait perk column as a reload option, there's Envious Arsenal to refill the magazine from reserves on dealing damage with both of your other weapons or Rewind Rounds to refill 60% of hits landed (70% when enhanced) from reserves. Both pair well in the second column with Bait and Switch to boost damage by ×1.3 for 10s (11s when enhanced) for doing damage with your other two weapons. The Frame of Reference Origin Trait stacks up to ×5 times on kills, providing up to ×1.07 damage and boosts to Reload Speed and Range for 8s, with the timer pausing when the weapon's stowed. If you've not already got a general purpose shotgun to use with melee builds, in the first trait perk column Pugilist generates chunk melee ability energy on kills and +35 Handling for 3s after dealing melee damage. You can use melees with either Desperate Measures to provide up to 3 stacks on weapon and ability kills for up to ×1.3 damage for a refreshable 7s or Swashbuckler - provides up to ×5 damage stacks on kills for ×1.33 damage, with a melee kill giving 5 stacks, for a refreshable 4.5s (5s when enhanced). What these Starscape Null perks do

Full Choke

While Aiming Down Sights: • Decreases Shotgun Pellet Spread by 5% • Reduces Precision Multiplier by 7.6% (1.1078x🠚1.0294x)

One-Two Punch

Hitting a target with all 12 Pellets in the spread increases the damage of your next Melee attack within 3 seconds. Melee Damage increase by weapon type: • Shotgun: 150% additional base melee damage • Hand Cannon: 75% [100?%] additional base melee damage Stowing the weapon removes the buff. The buff does not stack with the passive Melee Damage increase against Frozen non-Boss targets. The higher buff of the two takes precedence.

Rewind Rounds

Upon emptying the Magazine: Refills 60% of the number of Hits landed (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Hits are counted from either your last reload or the last time the perk was triggered. Does not require Direct Hits. Requires firing 28.75% of the Magazine Capacity for the refill to activate. Cannot load the Magazine beyond its base capacity. Hits after triggering a refill do not count while the Rewind Rounds buff is active (1? second). Adaptive Burst Linear Fusion Rifle behavior: • Each individual bolt in the burst counts as a Hit • Refill amount is uniquely 14% of the number of Hits rounded up (numbers are subject to change once we get more data points)

Lead from Gold

Heavy Ammo Pickups grants 25% of your maximum Special Ammo Reserves even while the weapon is stowed. Equipping two Special Weapons halves the amount of ammo granted.

Trench Barrel

Dealing Melee Damage grants the following for the next 3 shots within 5 seconds: • 30 Reload Speed and 30 Handling • 50% increased damage Stowing the weapon removes the buff.

Bait and Switch

Dealing damage with a weapon starts a 7 second timer. Dealing additional weapon damage resets the timer to 7 seconds. Dealing damage with all 3 of your weapons without letting the timer run out grants you 'Bait and Switch' for 10 seconds, granting 30% increased damage. Timer is disabled while Bait and Switch is active, requiring a full activation sequence once the buff expires.

Envious Arsenal

Dealing any damage with both of your other weapons refills the magazine from reserves upon readying the weapon.

Pugilist

Weapon Kills grant 10% Melee Ability Energy. Kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives, and Fusion Rifles grant 20%. Dealing Melee Damage grants 35 Handling for 3 seconds. Ability energy gained may be significantly decreased based on your selected ability's Chunk Energy Scalar. Learn more about this mechanic in our explainer blog post on the Clarity website.

Desperate Measures

Weapon Kills grant 'Desperate Measures x1' (DMx1), increasing damage by 10% for 7 seconds. Grenade or Melee Kills grant 20% increased damage for 7 seconds (DMx2). Scoring another Grenade or Melee Kill with DMx2 active increases this to 30% (DMx3). Can be activated while stowed. Weapon, Grenade, and Melee Kills refresh the buff duration.

Swashbuckler

Weapon Kills grant a Stack of 'Swashbuckler' for 4.5 seconds. Maximum of 5 Stacks. (Glaive) Melee Kills grant all 5 Stacks instantly. Damage increase at 1|2|3|4|5 Stacks: 6.7% | 13.3% | 20% | 26.6% | 33.3% Stowing the weapon removes the buff.

Reconstruction

Every 6 seconds while not firing the weapon: Loads 25% of the Magazine Capacity (rounded up) into the Magazine from reserves. Can overfill the Magazine up to double the normal capacity. Works even while stowed.
